I applaud you for it. Not very much to be optimistic about this season and this transfer window is starting to make a lot of fans a bit fickle. Kind of feels like the last straw from our board.

Sadly I think, where we are as a club, these are the signings we will now make, either a player like pato who had great potential when young but injuries etc, have left him nearly on the scrap heap, or an old has been who wants one final hoora, we can forget about marquee signings, and no youngster with huge potential will want to sign for us, where would a Barkley, stones, kane or deli Ali be if they'd been with us? Our youngsters must look at them and feel trapped here! So our next signing might be ronadihno

I'd honestly take any of them over ruddy Pato.

If this were a 21 year old youngster no one had ever heard of from Brazil, we would all be a lot more optimistic about this one. I think the name has been getting to everyone a bit, understandably so with the disappointing experiences of Torres and Falcao clouding everyone's memories.
If we treated this like we would with any other player coming from a more obscure league and just watched the youtube video in which he looks pretty decent (when do they not), as he still looks pacy, good on and off the ball and off the ball movement is something our team has been lacking. Then went on to look at his stats, 26 goals 11 assists in 59 games which for someone not playing up top isn't half bad, I'm sure we would all be feeling a lot better about the prospect of him coming here. Especially as he is clearly on an upward trend at the moment and is reshowing some drive and passion for the game and thus he is being re-linked with a call up to the Brazil squad. Imagine if he does finally fulfill all the potential he showed at 20 we'd have some player on our hands.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any better Van Persie might be on his way!!!  are we f****** Nuts!!! We are becoming the laughing stock!!! Yep and PSG and Real are coming in for Hazard at 80 million? don't see that happening. Why we they. They know we are easy prey and he has no interest in playing for us anymore.... we are in for a VERY rough ride...

If only we could somehow have some form of legally binding written agreement with our players that would put us in complete control for when the likes of PSG & Real Madrid definitely try and buy Hazard and the rest of our players.

 

Someone at the club should look into this.... I don't like the sound of this rough ride that is being mentioned.

If guus does not want him what is the point though. He will just remain with falcao on the bench or treatment table.

We needed three players in Jan, a defender, a striker and a midfielder, we've signed Pato, poor business in the summer, poor business now, if the board don't act by next summer, then we're in trouble.
