But would you very pleased when he make United Champions ?
Every top team need striker like Lukaku and Kane, not like Morata. Striker need to give you goals, need to score.

On the flip side, United with RVN scoring every game 1 title in 5 years, sell him and replace with inferior scorers, 3 title's in a row!!!!

I would worry more about Lukaku hitting the ground running if i were you. The relationship with Jose is very touchy, and it won't take much for Jose to start talking him down if he does'nt come up with the goods, we all know what Jose can be like, and Lukau does not strike me as the kind of player who will react positively to Jose's bad mouth. In fact i wouldn't be surprised if Jose is actively after another forward, just in case.

Not to mention, when he played for us he looked scared and that he was struggling to cope with the expectation. I know he was young then but Traore, Oriol Romeu and Abraham played first team games at a similar age and looked much more comfortable and at ease.

United will be his first club with such high expectations since, the price tag will add an extra element to the pressure and if he has a rough start the spotlight will be firmly on him. I don't actually want him to suffer like that because in a human aspect it would probably have an impact on his mental health but it's definitely a factor to consider.

Levene had nothing new to say really...just what we know already know that Emanuldo wanted Lukaku and Conte didn't...Chelsea want 2 strikers a top class one and a backup like Llorente with Bats going out on loan...

Sanchez will be there to hold his hand. [emoji6]

One of the worst clubs to deal with in the league. Just awful. I hope we've moved on from Lukaku. Not about to deal with Everton's nonsense.

Horrible club to do business with , especially when they know the player you want is your number 1 target.

Of course they could. They need a bidding war to reach 100mill. Personally I really hope neither of us tries and lukaku runs down his contract. Take his pick of clubs as a free agent at age 26.

Conspiracy theory? Rob Beasley is right and we do have a sell on clause in Rom's deal so, despite the fact that we're not really interested, we've been biding up the price to maximise our cut.

Downside? United are not likely to be stupid enough to fall for that one, and fifa & The FA might have something to say if it ever came out.

No they're not. They're doing what every selling club does; try to negotiate smart and maximise their asset.

Yea that's the easy diplomatic answer, but they aren't, they are twats, maximizing revenue is one aspect taking the piss and being unnecessarily difficult is another.

That's your characterisation of their behaviour not mine. They agreed an up front fee but made clear that they want an agreement for bonus payments in addition. What's unnecessarily difficult about that? The player's registration belongs to them, they're entitled to negotiate for its sale. Personally, I wouldn't pay it and would walk away instead but that's for United to worry about. Meanwhile, Everton don't owe ManU, or Chelsea, any favours.

The good news is that Lukaku will probably the last player they have of any value so let Eversh*te have their moment in the sun...but just remember other teams know they have money, so they in turn will face higher fees for EPL players...they paid £30m for Pickford (that's a £1m per EPL game) and £30m for Keane and they've been quoted £40m for Sigurdsson...enjoy your ride toffees fans...

Think the first time the rumours dropped about Conte not being happy could've been when personal terms were actually agreed with Lukaku. Have to admit if Lukaku signs for United then it leaves Chelsea with a small problem of finding a striker who can hit the ground running. Top 4/6 is too tight to wait for a striker to bed in for a season. But I think there's probably a surprise striker lined up by Chelsea.

Agreed that top strikers are as rare as hens teeth right now, hence the 75 million price tag on Lukaku.

I hope the club have something lined up, because all this talk of Diego gone, of Tammy off on loan again, and lUkaku falling through it pretty much leaves Morata and this Belotti fella available, and supply and demand will drive their costs up also.  Doubt we'll start the season with just Batshuayi leading our line

Good as long as they don't want any players from us in teh future...a lot of deals are done because of relationships. I think we, particularly Marina arent great at that, but everton have broken down 2 deals with us now, so if it's not them its us, but they are the ones with piss take over valuations. Stings more considering we sold them Lukaku in the first place

Everybody takes the piss with valuations. Why are Everton especially to blame? I don't get it.

Guys be positive if the board can't get the job done then may Conte will...strangely both he and Morata are both holidaying in Corsica at the moment only about 2 miles apart...it's only a short taxi ride Antonio...
