Romelu Lukaku

Look in principle I agree but I think they have pushed above getting a really good price into the holding hostage territory, football boards are full of egos and a lot of deals don't get done when people they aren't dealt with in a way they see acceptable and from what we see it's not just the asking for a lot it's the way they have done it with stones and Lukaku they are messing clubs about I don't think they are showing the respect you would hope for when doing a deal that should be building a business relationship, we can always deal with athletico for example because we have dealt with them before and it's been smooth, after this I doubt we will deal with Everton again and certainly won't give them a loan player that can score them 17 goals in his first season, in my opinion it's better business accumin to take 5 mil less and be able to pick up the phone to that club later when you need something

If they can get a better deal from another club like they did with Stones then they are well within their rights to do so.

It's their player, their contract it's up to them. It's a business and they are getting higher fees doing their deals like that so I don't see the issue at all. If we want a player we pay what they ask simple as because a club like United or someone else will pay it in the end.

On the plus side it shows our intent, just a shame it's Lukaku and not Bellotti.

A post I can get behind. Would rather take the outsider than be subscribed to all this circus of (Northern) monkeys right now.

If we can match this then there should be no reason if it fails that we shouldn't be able to get Bellotti.

You do realize every other club would then raise their prices even higher, yes?

75M i would def go for Bellotti over Rom shows that when push comes to shove and i do think that shove is coming from Conte the chelsea board are will to spash the cash.Imagne if they went for them both and a top class CB which def needs addressed

I think people just believe everything the press spits out. Why the hell will we match man u's offer of 275K per week . That will be way above hazards salary and we all know who the better player is. I am actually not worried . i know conte isnt a mourinho who tries to buy the league e.g Pogba and Ibra. We won the league by including alonso, luiz , kanteand suprisingly moses. No point putting all our eggs into a lukaku basket when there are other strikers out there.

So then is it time for the drog to give him a call?

Are we so sure Drogba will influence him to come to Chelsea? He knows first hand what Jose is capable of bringing to the table

Well that was fun while it lasted...

Apparently United outbid us, and he's set to sign for them.

Honestly that is what I am expecting. Everton want a bidding war, they have it, and I expect United will dig deeper than us, hence the agent fees. They have no choice, all their eggs went in this basket.

Maybe the board just put a bid in to save face with Conte.. sigh.

Could be but we will never know, but seems we are prepared to go high to get the player we want lets hope we continue this during the transfer window

If that's the case, keep bidding with the b*stards.  Push that price up

Well, we tried. The fault just lie with Maria and Emalano for not getting it done sooner.

But let's be honest, we're a bit club, we must have a plan b in case this happened.

What about our eggs?

Jim white, who is close to the everton side apparently, has tweeted Rom is on his way to United. They have outbid us and Rooney will sign for everton tomorrow. Seems we waited too long. Not sure what to honestly think of all this.

We've just this second contacted Real Madrid for Danilo and Morata apparently according to Sky Italia.

Maybe here?
