we aren't f**ked in the striker department. costa is still under contract and will have to play for us until he leaves. simple as that.

It's naive to think he will. I don't even think he's going to show up for training on monday.

That bridge is burned.

no, i'm referring more to the people who post on twitter and reddit who claim they didn't want him, then get angry when he goes to utd. the board can't win - damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Not exactly there is a camp that I fall in that didn't think he was better than Costa but triple the price and would prefer belotti/morata/Aubameyang for that money but point out that if the board want him they dropped the ball and it's a reoccurring theme, no contradiction there.

well it wasn't long ago people say how efficient chelsea are in the market, both our fans and rival fans. something doesn't add up as to why we weren't in for him IF he was our no.1 target. too many contradicting rumours for me to believe anything 100%

Selling yes, buying big players? Nope well at least not for a few years now.

We were chasing Lukaku I don't think there is any doubt in that, every journo especially the ones who have ties with the club have been reporting it since last season. We put in an official bid AFTER United had all bug agreed the deal and terms while he was prancing about L.A. with United's biggest star.

It's clear to me that for whatever reason he has been our main target and we pissed about for the third or fourth window in a row and lost out, that's now not just one of those things but a recurring theme with Chelsea. I don't rate the guy and glad we won't be paying daft money for him but all this will do is piss off the manager and mean we are feeding off scraps again. Last season it didn't really hurt us but the season before that it killed us and we had a disasterous season.

Toss a coin for next season with a pissed off manager and no proven goal scorer

There was reports not sure how accurate that he has said he is willing to stay doesn't fancy the athletico ban situation with a WC approaching, would rather stay with us till Jan and transfer then, I think that's realistic but if we can't get a striker now who says we can in Jan, it will disrupt the season we mayaswell get it done now.

There has been no bid from Chelsea at any stage for Lukaku.

See my posts which have been ridiculed on 'Random Rumours' Lukaku agreed to join Man Utd before the end of last season.

His holiday to LA was planned to coincide with Man Utd's pre season tour.

As I said Chelsea FC are refusing to break their transfer record because they are working toward the new ground and developing the young talent at their disposal .

Use your common sense, I have information close to players, Tammy Abraham is considered Chelsea's main striker hope. Chelsea did not fight for Dominic Solanke in the same way, I know the gentlemen involved who brokered the deal.

What would it say in two years time to Abraham if Lukaku was leading the line ?

Conte wants Belotti, but Chelsea are not prepared to pay the buy out clause, Costa negotiations are holding any transaction for Llorente up, there is another forward in the conundrum however Chelsea are 8m apart. I am involved in those discussions.

It will be a long summer for all us Chelsea fans, Bakayoko and Rudiger are likely but Chelsea's 3 tier approach could let Man Utd in the back door, particularly in Bakayoko's case, as Chelsea are dithering over money and the medical.

i repeat, Chelsea will not exceed the 50m spent on Torres in this transfer window, do not waste your time on press releases concerning players like Morata.

I take it you are genuine,......... oh look there you fly on a magic carpet, stroking a unicorn, celebrating Spurs winning the 16-17 PL....

Seems like Mino Raiola has taken over from Jorge Mendes as the greediest bar steward in football now.

75 mil plus 15 add one plus Rooney that's over 100 mil, mate he is nowhere near that even in this market, too much pressure on a guy shown to have no mental strength

Apparently, Raiola gets 12 mil from the deal. Absolute scam artist.

What's funny is other than pogba and Ibra he has none of real note, but lots of UTD connections recently but that fee, wow, I thought they restricted agent fees?

well well, so it is not a ploy from Everton after all. the most "interesting" scenario is unfolding. would love to see how the board would react to this massive failure by them

Remember when Fergie slated us for paying Hazard's agent big money? How times have changed.

No hold on...whatever the players agent was doing its down to us to negotiate our side we wouldn't pay him, good in principle but not if you want your player, we should have a better relationship and leverage we loaned them then sold the guy, we should have first dibs by all business etiquettes imaginable, especially as we have been in first apparently there is more than enough for us to have got this done early before Man U got a sniff fat bar steward agent or not

React? They would be celebrating by being in the running of the net transfer savings championship so far this summer.

Dont for one second expect a Morata or a Bellotti to be signed. Say hello to Llorente, Batshuayi and maybe a disgruntled Costa who might hang around until January next year before he gives off to Athletico Madrid.

That's the point if you want a player bad enough you pay the c**t his fees principle is one thing getting the job done is another, have you seen the state of the fat bar steward incidentally

exactly my point, the board dropped the ball hard

that's why i said "interesting". i don't think the board would react, at all. who f*cking cares? if next season we failed to defend the title, it is Conte anyway who will get questioned, not them. that has been the recurring theme in Chelsea with Jose and Ancelotti. if I was Roman, i would be really furious by the way the board acted.

anyway, to your point regarding Morata/Belotti, i couldn't agree more. to all people who think we dodged a bullet because now we are in for those strikers:  what makes you think we would be willing to break the bank - let alone able to secure them - when the board couldn't secure a player who clearly interested in joining us? i would love to be proven wrong though

I'm trying to get angry and upset about missing out 75M, just couldn't, not for that price. Before Costa throw out his toys and declared war on Conte, many of us didn't rate Lukaku as our number 1 target. Not denying he has scored 20+ goals last season, but he hasn't got a good record against the top 6 teams, zero CL experience, and hasn't done much at all in International football. Is he the new definition of a 75M striker? The fact ( or rumour) we didn't bid for him was because his super agent has already agreed on a huge agent fee, and fixed Lukaku's head to only go to United. We could start a bidding war, probably the best result is to get united pay another 10-15M. It's frustrating we haven't confirmed any signing so far, but seriously how many people are going to get excited by signing Lukaku for 75M, and at around 200k a week?

but again, conte should also take blame for putting us in a position with a striker who now wants to leave even sooner, and one we won't get expected fee for. if the board are to blame, so is conte for the supposed texts. i still don't believe any rumours i hear because nobody knows. it's shown this window that journalists have no idea what is going on.

But not Costa for coming out and spilling it all in the media to deliberately f**k our negotiating power up? I'm sorry, I'm not buying this victim card Costa has had you all fall for. He's a c**t.

oh well, lukaku is at utd and whatever happens happens. we can't change anything as fans, we are neither the coach nor in charge of transfers, so it is what it is. whoever we bring in we just need to get behind.
