What on earth is going on with Morgan Schneiderlin? When José was appointed at Man Utd I thought he'd be one of the first names on the teamsheet for Man Utd; I thought he'd work really well in a midfield three with Herrera and Pogba, but he hasn't even been included in the matchday squad since the middle of September. He's only played 5 minutes in the league all season!

Jose has his favourites.

What about Mkhitaryan? Borussia Dortmund's best player for a while and he can't even get into a squad now that he's fully fit, and it's not as if United are oozing creativity in midfield at the moment.

Bit of an anti LVG feeling going on there maybe? 

He's more or less banished both of Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger despite the indifferent form of his midfield. 

Mind you he's also bizarrely frozen out Mkhitaryan despite dropping £30m on him during the summer. 

Some very odd decisions from Jose from afar. 

It's possible José doesn't see Schneiderlin as the kind of 'pure' defensive mid who could play at the back of a midfield three, who was at his best when paired with Wanyama, who isn't lacking in defensive quality himself. Then again he's starting Fellaini (to win the first balls from goal kicks I assume) so who knows what is going through his head?

I think he must have done - hasn't been here for months.  Hopefully he's found a lovely lady who is taking up all his spare time.

Always good to see Spurs losing, even better getting out of a competition. 

Hoping City beats United again tonight. Pressure is already building on Jose and another loss to Pep and City would hurt their morale for sure.
