Strange thing to say about your player of the season....

He's not my player of the season.

As for massively inconsistent, well he is a winger, they take more risks and so will lose the ball on occasion.... he was absolutely incredible last season...thats why he ended up the the PFA award...

He was good, but again just my opinion I'd have had him behind two of our other players purely because they turned up more often. Even if they were off their game a bit they still contributed, when Mahrez is off his game it's like playing with 10 men sometimes.

He was class for you last season and without him you wouldn't have won the league IMO.

He's one of your best technical players from what I seen last season and this pre season.

All based on some stalker and an "agent" confirming to said random stalker that 1) he's an agent and 2) Chelsea want Mahrez.

 

You got the better player with Kante if you ask me so I'd stop there, Mahrez is massively inconsistent. He's one of them that looks amazing on match of the day in 5 minute highlights.... not so much when you sit through the other 85 minutes of trash.

 

I'd take 2 minutes of highlights and 88 minutes of trash with Mahrez if it meant him getting a fraction of the 17 goals and 11 assists for Chelsea next season. 

 

Also that 'random stalker' was a sports journalist student there to interview Conte. Not quite a stalker but hey ho, if that makes you feel better.

We wouldn't have won the league without Vardy and Kante either. My order would have been Kante, Vardy, Mahrez.

 

His technical ability is incredible, what he does many can't do. Like I said he's just bloomin frustrating, he had huge spells of doing naff all last year and that's what puts him behind the other two.

I've already pointed out when the players use the hotel, they use it when they are using the owners helicopter. It could be a secret meeting... it could be Mahrez staying there before being taken back to Leicester. As has happened countless times.

I also cant accept the club are prioritising a player in a postion we simply do not need to strengthen over an area of the team that is in deseprate need of an overhaul.

Some kid fresh out of uni... how better to get his name out there than to start some rumours hey.

To be fair, we've neglected properly addressing our defence for too long now. 

 

Last summer in particular was shambolic, Baba wasn't up to the task and Djilobodji was nothing short of an embarrassing signing after the poor way we dealt with the John Stones bid. 

 

That we're going into the third(?) season in a row without having signed a new first choice defender does worry me.

If in fact they are meeting, that would imply a fee has already been approved by Leicester and Mahrez was happy to sit down with Chelsea at least for a meeting.  But does that mean he has to accept?

I doubt it, i'm sure a university student would know the implications and damaging reputation starting a false rumour on social media could have on any reputable career he wishes to have in the future. 

I think he will join us but I don't think it is a player we really need
