August 25, 20169 yr That game made me hating Barcelona so much, I will never forget that dirty referee and that dirty Barcelona. I was so proud to look at Chelsea after that game. We'd have won the CL that year too, I'm convinced. At least we have it now but it would have been 2 time winners.

September 15, 20169 yr still hanging around at cobham, i like how chelsea have an open door policy for these legends to train and find fitness
September 15, 20169 yr Supposedly he's about to sign for Melbourne Victory, might get the chance to see him play again if true.

September 25, 20169 yr Nothing to do with a potential transfer, just a rather sad story about Essien I thought I'd share http://metro.co.uk/2016/09/25/chelsea-legend-michael-essien-had-to-be-consoled-by-jose-mourinho-after-awful-birthday-at-real-madrid-6151797

I was surprised to see even the club captain made no effort. I would have loved to have attended Essien's 30th, better than being a Toure's birthday party if you forget the cake!
September 29, 20169 yr Loved him when he was here, shame about his injuries but still think he left/went on loan too early
November 11, 20169 yr He was 'that' player back in the day whereby all the other big teams would pick him from our squad if they had one choice. Could fit into multiple roles and dominate. Top quality player and from what I've read, a stand up guy. Anyone else remember when we first signed him and he was a walking red card lol?
December 10, 20169 yr Great strike from Essien. Can't believe it's 10 years ago. My seat is in the second row of the MHU and is level with the right hand edge of the six yard box. Had a great view of the goal. Goalie had no chance of saving.
