Thought I'd get in nice and early with the crystal ball predictions. Can I just say what a performance that was against Everton. One of, if not the, best Chelsea performances I have ever seen. Everyone contributed and you can just tell this is a team enjoying itself at the moment. Fantastic. Anyway, here are the predictions:

Chelsea (3-4-3): Courtois; Luiz, Cahill, Terry (c); Azpilicueta, Willian, Chalobah, Alonso; Pedro, Oscar, Hazard
Subs: Thompson, Mati?, Fábregas, Kanté, Moses, Costa, Batshuayi

Prediction: Middlesbrough 0-0 Chelsea

So, a few changes, as always is the case with this damn crystal ball ha ha. What a game it will be for youth goalkeeper Jared Thompson, apparently. He's been called up to the bench just because the crystal ball feels like it. Also, Conte decides he's going to drop just about half the team to the bench and go with Oscar as a false nine. It ultimately leads to Middlesbrough holding us to a 0-0 draw. Bugger that. Let's go for yet another win, Blues!

conte said zouma will be available next week and i don't want him near the starting lineup lol

if it aint broke don't fix it, eventough i'm still nervous everytime gaz hold the ball more than 2 seconds

Bloody international break. My biggest concern heading into this match is the loss of momentum we may endure for not playing for 15 days.

I have no doubt that at our best, we should win this with relative ease.

Am i imagining things or are international breaks getting longer ? This is the 3rd one this season that will take up 2 full weeks of the season. No wonder why we have fixture congestion when 6 weeks of the season has been used up on international football.

f**king hell, international breaks suck!  It already is a painful 2 weeks.  But--- looking at Karanka, he does field organised teams.  This is a chance for us to go blazing again and send a message to everyone that we are the REAL DEAL!  Where City failed - we should capitalise and get the 3 points.  Would love 2 first half goals.....

..... and 3 second half goals :-) !!!

Arsenal too ;)

But yeah, really we should have too much for them if our recent results are anything to go by. I say it is imperative we win this as our 2 games after this one are Spurs and City.

Don't know why but i'm always cautious when we travel so far north for an away game, much the same when we play Newcastle/Sunderland etc. No doubt we should have the quality to breeze past them though. Here's hoping for a cricket score.

Costa out of the Spanish squad with groin injury. Hope it heals up in time

I hope i wont see him missing the big EPL games coming up ! Spurs and City , after the Boro game . Batschuayi is B.S. at the moment , that lad needs to show some serious performances if he deserves to play up as CF and to be considered as backup for Diego .

Give him a break, he's not exactly had much game time with Costa being in such great form. To say he is bullsh*t at the moment is really harsh, he's been far from it.

Based on what exactly? He's gotten scraps at the end of games that we've already killed off. When i've seen him he looks great, a different mould of player to Diego, but he has serious merit.

He's scored a goal and got an assist in 76 minutes of premier league action, thus contributing to a goal every 38 minutes. Not really sure what more you want him to do when he's being given 10 minutes at the end of games here and there.

Grow up mate.

A potential banana peel, though less obviously so than say Southampton.

Karanka will have all the incentive in the world to try and park the bus so an early goal would be good. At home, he may be a bit more likely to try and attack than he would be playing away. Once that happens...

How about we start batshuayi with the team that started against everton before you make any further unfair judgement?  Costa can miss this game, rested or cared for his injury..

I wouldn't actually mind if Costa did sit out this game. Every game is important, but i wouldn't want us to risk making his injury worse which rules him out of the games against Tottenham and City.
