Wouldn't complain with a draw, but would love a win! The reaction would resemble something we saw in 2014 when we beat them away from home in early February of that year.

Ideally, I'd prefer the same starting-11 as the last few weeks. Nothing beats having continuity and stability in the squad.

If you match us up with them man to man, I think we come out on top. Hazard/Costa and De Bruyne/Aguero are equal, Sterling or Silva is usually better than Pedro but on current form that's not as pronounced. I'd take Kante/Matic over Fernandinho/Fernando, Toure's old but Gundogan with one of the first two would make this a more even matchup. At the back though with their injury crisis I'd take all 5 of our defenders and Courtois over their lot.

2-1 to us.

I agree with everything you said but the combo of silva, sterling and kdb gives a bit more than us moving through from the middle third to the final third,  matic and Kante don't do that much going forward except a few flashes when they steam forward also kantes passing is starting to look very suspect, we could do with a top CM to mix it up and not get stale in that part of the field

It's time Costa starts thinking on how to score more goals than thinking on how to give the opposition yellow cards,,, Alonso should work on his dribbling (beating),  Kante vs Fernandinho, What a battle.

What? You're saying Costa needs to work on his finishing?

That would be Premier League top goal scorer Diego Costa?

Nervous for this one already...

I just have a feeling that if we somehow manage to come away with all the three points here aswell and extend our run to 8 wins in a row we are going to be really hard to stop for the title this season.

Largely we have been very effective in front of goal lately and it's hard to see us not getting at least one or two good chances over 90 minutes. Just need to continue our clinical streak and be rock solid in defence.

I'm not one for hyperbole but if we win this they might as well give us the title there and then at the Etihad.

ha ha , i absolutely agree . but the irony is leicester are still champions and we got to retrieve it from them .

What a pity . look at them now . They're closing on relegation spots !

A point and we would be ecstatic.

Don't think that will happen sadly but regardless it will only be a few points which we can make up again. No big deal regardless.

In the form we are in , i wouldn't agree to that . Maybe the Chelsea of 2015-16 , yes ofcourse , but now a point , or a hard fought win (This is achievable) would definitely make more worth and give that extra bit of confidence going in to the rest of the season .

If that win can extend our lead over City and Liverpool , i mean , why not ? TBH , we got nothing else to play for . Its the PL or nothing .

A draw would suffice , but we should try our best to come back home with the 3 points in the bag

This doesn't worry me nearly as much as the Spurs game did. Defensively they are shocking, Hazard-Costa-Pedro should have a field day.

Attacking wise they are much better though. The game will be out of reach inside 30 minutes for me if we start as we did against Tottenham. And if City pin us back like they did to begin with we won't even be able to feed our front three with anything to work with. Its going to be extremely interesting to see how we start this game.

How are they better than us attacking wise!  I think you under estimate Diego Costa Pedro Hazard Moses Willian!  Chelsea have created the most chances and goals this season so I disagree that they are better than us attacking wise!

Chelsea just need to play their game and win the midfield battle and we will surely win this game!  I would take Chelsea's back 3 over City's.  I would also take Kante over Fernandinho.  Gundogan is better than Matic I accept.  But I would take Hazard Pedro And Diego as well over city.  Only other city players I can take are Kun and KDB.  I would say have a slight edge over them and should believe it and just attack!  There's nothing too special that they have to get us scared!

While our front three of Hazard, Diego and Pedro is about as good as theirs of KDB, Agüero and Sterling, and might even edge it on current form, they are still more of an attacking threat imo due to having Silva and Gündogan in their midfield and their genereal approach to playing football. We have been very good defensively and a potent counter attacking force, whereas they haven't been on their best lately and have struggled a little defensively all season, so I definitely think we stand a chance of getting a result there. But I would still be happy as long as we don't lose it. After all it's probably the hardest game we're going to have all season, and given our recent record at their ground a point would be a good result.

Also we have neither created the most chances (Liverpool are first and Man City are second), nor scored the most goals this season (Liverpool are first and we are on par with City), so please quit making facts up.

I dont think we started the Spurs game poorly. It was simply a fact that they were better.

In relation to this, my worries is that during the first half we could not play given how much pressure Spurs was putting on our first third. It became evident that we did not have many alternatives to start playing from our defenders forward, and when Courtois kicked the ball forward we didn't win many of them. I hope Conte has a better plan against teams that press high up the pitch as Spurs did during the first half.

i like the way they moving the ball around in that training vid. it seems they're getting more familiar with keeping possession and passing short/in tight spaces.

As long as we get a draw or win we are doing better than way back then.

0 - 1 (like last year) 1 - 1 will do just fine.  COYB.Scan_20161202.png
