No Kante for this game, no Costa and Hazard is a doubt!

Of course playing at home we ought to win, but Howe is a great up and coming manager, dont think this will be a formality, sadly!

I am too happy with being 6 points clear to worry about our next opponents, let them worry about us.We have a good squad and it is a great oppurtunity for others to play their part.....UP THE CHELS !

Likewise, looking to see the rest of the squad have a crack and show what they can do.

Chelsea will have more time to rest than any other Premier League team over the Christmas period. #CFC

That stat is comical.

It leaves out the extra rest at the beginning of the Xmas period, Liverpool don't play until the 27th, that gives them an extra 2 days to prepare before the Xmas games, southampton get 3 days extra rest at the start.

A week and a day we have is more than enough time before the Bournemouth game. Better to have our three games strung out more though over the 'busy' period. Of course we won't have as much time to recover for Peterborough/Notts Co.

Who cares about the extra days at the beginning? Every club is able to play their first choice on game 1 with the full break and rest before. We have three games spread out as much as possible, we'd all be bitching about the schedule if we were in Southampton's position.

It's time to give others a chance. Hopefully they'll deliver.

Those extra two days at the beginning would probably of been enough time for our best player to shake off his injury, having your best player available is pretty important, especially when your top goal scorer is also missing.

Yes, but how effective would that best player be if he had to play three matches in 6 days?

If all teams could choose any of those combinations of matches without knowing team fitness, I'm fairly certain ours would be chosen all 20 times.

Conte will have had plenty of time on the training ground this week to prepare the changed side.Costa and Kante are huge absentees but we have to cope and get the three points.

Michy to get a hattrick you heard it here first

Hope so. Would be good if he scored one goal let alone 3. Would be great confidence booster for him and the fans to know we have a player who we can bring in if Costa is injured or for the FA cup games. Just hope he doesn't have a mare of a game.

Agreed, a bad game for him would not be good for his confidence.

Cant believe that many games were played as it was the worst winter of my lifetime.Crazy amount of goals.

Think your thinking of 62/63 season when there was hardly any matches between Boxing Day 62 and March 63 and Halifax opened their pitch up as a skating rink.
