You mean the matic fab partnership that won us the title? Yea I'd defiantly stick with that

Yea, same partnership that got Jose sacked. It worked that season because teams have no clue that time on how to expose Matic. Try it against a good team in the Champions league and you will see how easy it will be to defeat us. Tothenham will always love to play against that Fabregas-Matic midfield partnership.

That partnership didnt get jose sacked, the kante matic partnership got shagged by arsenal does it mean it cant work? Theres a lot more at play here, in a 3 at the back formation, I'm sure we will survive bournemouth with matic fab, is it ideal, no, it's what we have through, hence we need CM cover....and while we are t it a top RF, if hazard ever gets injured we will feel it, those are 2 positions that need strength badly, that and a ball playing CB, and if we're being perfectionists a quality LWB, at that point we are elite, no doubt, very doable too.

Well this was a hell of a long wait =)

Bournemouth as said before are no pushovers..will be glad to see any kind of win, yet i'm sure 1-0 won't do it today. Hope Michy starts, but we will need a moment of brilliance from let's say Pedro as we needed agains Tottenham to turn it around. This one is massive, despite Bournemouth being the opposite team. I sure hope for no Boxing Day miracles, we sure don't need that today.

Im a bit worried about this match. We are missing Costa and Kante and Bournemouth beat us last season at the Bridge. The Cherries are an unpredictable side, as their results prove. They could spring a surprise. We must ensure they don't do that. Batman and Fabregas to fill the empty slots. We need to go out with a winning mentality. Hope we take this match seriously. COME ON YOU BLUES !!!

Slightly worried about this game too.

Just hope we are not complacent and lethargic with our performance. Need to come out strong and play quick.

Someone is worried about every game on every match day thread it's boring be optimistic 11 wins including Utd, city, Tottenham.....its Bournemouth at home in the best form we have ever had...

We are playing at home we're 6 points ahead and the sky is blue.  Missing Costa is not a problem. Missing Kante will be the really interesting one......the man is just immense amongst the reasons we are where we are today.  Much as I know Bournemouth are capable of giving us a good game the fixtures Gods have been unkind to them, having to travel up here. I'm gonna guess at 3-1 and then sit back and take whatever comes which is all any of us can ever actually do anyway. If we lose the world will still be there outside our front doors in the morning!! KTBFFH!!

My default mode is pessimistic, nothing I can do about it, I worry about every game.  Some people are optimistic every game, some aren't.

No Costa, No Kante. I think this might be a draw. Last time we were short on our stars we lost to West Ham. Our system is so demanding we need our best players. 1-1 but hoping for a win.

City won their home games without Kun  and Fernandinho, Pool have been picking up points without Couts.  At home, we should be strong enough  to cope without these two. Especially  with Hazard back.
