I am expecting a 2015/16 season repeat again

Wouldn't it just be nice to have a pre-season in the UK?  Trekking all over Asia or America surely must take it out of them?

Let's play some friendlies against some decent championship sides, or teams like Southampton, Bournemouth etc..,maybe a home glamor time against one of the Milan clubs?

We do it for exposure and £. The latter is king now sadly.

We did for parts of the 2014/15 pre season. We played 3 games in England and most of the others in Europe, we played 10 pre season games that season.

Pre season for 2014/15 was the best we have had in a long time in my opinion. We signed Fabregas in June, Costa and Luis were signed mid July and Drogba was re-signed at the end of July. We played plenty of pre season games so that the players could get fit and it worked perfectly. We started the season on fire and won the league comfortably in the end.

Since then we have got it all wrong in my opinion, our preparation for each of the last 3 season's has been poor, especially 2 season's ago and this season.

And the bizarre thing is that the club are reluctant to reinvest it. They pull in money from winning the title, record tv deals, sponsorship deals, kit deals and from some pretty profitable transfers in the last few years. So they ought to spend it. There's no trophies for best fiscal management. I'm not saying blow it on a Neymar type signing, but Christ on a bike, if I'm paying this much for Virgin subscription and for memeberships and tickets and so on, I expect them to reinvest it in the 1st team, not three thousand South American teenagers to represent a mid table Dutch side.

What?

Did you see our Bench? We have one central midfielder available to us for Spurs....think about that

We will be fine smacks of just deluding yourself despite the evidence in front of you. Being fine isnt good enough for a club this size we need to get that top 4 spot and losing a game agaist one of the weakest teams in the league isn't exactly putting down a marker. In one game our squad has been brutally exposed for its lack of depth,  we face having to play a defender in midfield because oyr board have sold or loaned all our actual first team players from last season in that area. So far we have spent the Oscar and Matic money but where is the rest? Record revenues in both shirt and TV money, winning the league and the other streams of revenue we take in every season....I just don't get what we are doing here? The manager says his options are limited, the players saying we can't get injuries or we will be in trouble yet we are told don't panic and it will be fine because we scored 2 goals despite letting 3 in? I'm sorry but nah the signs are all there that this board has made a huge mistake yet again that mimics 2015 almost stride for stride right now.

We were playing fine until Cahill went off, and from there it was a mountain to climb. I was very worried by the way we capitulated in thee first half, but in the second half the real Chelsea spirit came through. It's not going to be easy, and the reds today certainly haven't helped us any, but as long as the lads keep fighting like they did out there in the second half, I'm not too concerned. Frankly whether we compete for the title or not matters a lot less to me, than seeing the team giving it their all and playing for the badge. Although its also worth remembering that the transfer window doesn't even close for a while yet, and the club are trying to complete more business. Plus we have Eden, Pedro and Bakayoko to return.

sh*tty result for us today, but I'm not even close to pressing the panic button, and neither should anyone else be. Just because 2015 went to hell in a handbasket, doesn't mean history is suddenly going to repeat itself.

To return. Two of them have not had a pre season after surgeries. History tends to tell us that players who miss a pre season struggle massively to find form in the first half of the season...,that's not very encouraging  now is it? Also we sold Matic knowing Baka wasn't ready to play for a while yet we stupidly still sold him....explain the logic in that to me...go on! Even when they do return we are still woefully short of players for a side expected to do well in several competitions and Europe.

It's a farce simple as

Sorry I'm not a big fan of melodrama. We're the champions of England and we're going to manage the problems we have in front of us. Will we be champions again? Probably not, but then again I never expected to see the huge pile of titles and cups we've won in recent years happen in my lifetime, so I'm not going to start expecting us to win every time. Maybe have a bit more trust in the club to know what they're doing and a bit more gratitude for the incredible success we've been lucky enough to have.

Well where is the logic in selling and loaning players without replacing them resulting in our bench being made up of untested kids? Answer me that

And what if the club announce several new signings next week?

I thought our defence looked nervous from the start and couldn't cope with Burnley putting them under minimal pressure. The cards at the start of the game could easily been avoided with some composure instead of panic and stupid challanges.

Then what have they been doing for the whole window? Next week is a hit late when we have no midfielders for Spurs.

In any case I highly doubt we will be announcing several top player next week.

Bit bloody late! Why dont the club makes signings and then loan out Abraham, Aina, Loftus Cheek & Baker? surely that is a much better way of doing things.

Right now we could do with all 4 those players especially Abraham considering Batshauyi performances in the last 2 games.

Alright,if they still won't give Conte the blank cheque he needs, now more than ever he should just show them the finger and take off

When you will realize, this is not a Fifa game ? And what when we sign 3 or 4 or 5 or even 6 guys, when we already lost Cup against Arsenal and first PL game ? When all of this could be avoided and Conte and most of us see and was saying this for long time.
And again this is not a Fifa game, when you transfer a player, put him on the pitch and you start scoring goals after goals with him.

This new players will have to adapt to the new club, some to the new country, to the style, formation, to the coach, and also some of them will probably be not fit-ready. Look for how much time we have Morata and his fitness isn`t at 100%. And also some of this goes for the coach. He will need to have time to get use with the players, to know them, to trust them.
And not to mention how bad is for the coach, to not know untill the very end, on what players he can rely? You think there is no stress in him, because of the sh** window we once again have?

And right now there is almost no top players available. The sh** board will go into panic mode again, and will overpay big, but on average players, cause that is what left.

They are so stu**** that they refuse to overpay for a top class players, but now will overpay for a average sh*** and at the end will say we buy players, it`s a manager fault ....

But when this players came to the team, what was their level? What pre-season we did ?

Even if they get 5 new players IN, the board messed yet this summer again. They need to go.
Stop changing managers every 1-2 year, cause at the end, no top manager will want to come here. This board need to go. We need a change.

P.P. I`m just looking at City and United squad, they have 20 players, that are read to come in and are good enough. We have exactly 13, and that is when all of our players are fit.

A FIFA game? That's funny, because a load of you are talking as if the club could have just pressed a magic button and made plenty of players appear early in the window. We have people we wanted and have been trying to get. It's a hard process, and sometimes it doesn't work out as intended. They're still working on it, and meanwhile after one bad result you're talking about the board needing to go? The same board that built the team that won the league last year? Jesus wept..

So it would have been better to hold them here, maybe lose 5 months of their potential playing time at loan clubs because we left it too late to get them in somewhere useful, only for us to buy in replacements at the last minute anyway? I'd rather we put the needs of the loanees first, they're not ready for the Chelsea team and they need to be playing regularly.

I don`t see how the board build the team last year and they get the merits for Conte winning us the title. It was all Conte and the system 3-4-3, not the board.

The board is messed up for 3 years in a row, it`s just we get lucky with the manager, yet again, like we did with Carlo and Jose.

They f**** in 2010 with Carlo, they fu**** in 2015 with Jose, and they did it now.

They always failed to bring the first choices of the manager.

And this is not the first bad result. We already lost a cup against Arsenal. And there is more to come. It`s just getting started.

Far better to be  pro active than reactive. None of us know what our transfer strategy has been, I sincerely hope those in charge do, to leave us though so low on resources suggests neglect. Yes we can sign maybe three new players in the remaining window, these though need to be assimilated into the squad which takes time. We have left out best asset,Conte, exposed. If he chose to walk who could blame him.

Ah, so when we have a winning team its down to the manager, but when we lose its down to the board, right? Tough crowd. Sorry if I can't bring myself to give a single feck about the Communty Shield btw, in case you didn't notice we never win it.

Oh and btw, before we bought Morata he was held up as the most desirable available striker in the world. That was the board letting us down too was it? Bakayoko? Rudiger? We've bought some good players this window, and we're clearly trying to buy more. Just chill out and give the team a chance ffs. Last thing they need is us going off on some huge stress fit after a dodgy early start.

He's a professional, he knows how tough the transfer market can be. It's not like the club aren't trying.

In any business winners succeed. Trying is for amateurs.

Sounds like a line from a Donald Trump book. Real business professionals understand that markets are complex and that sometimes you don't always achieve the highest goals you set out for. Which is why I fully expect the club to have contingency planning in place to ensure we don't finish the window empty handed.

Probably a tad early to surrender just now and start lynching the generals. Typical us, a team of two halves, a ref (they're all biased), and a team of good pros having a cup final against last years champs. Ha, football. Thank God it isn't the only thing in life, although it is a bit hard to think that the team I love have apparently been amateurs for most of the last 47 years I've been following them. Sad!

Now im not excusing the board but i hate this mentality. When we win it's all the manager and none of the board but when we screw up its all the board and the manager's are innocent? Carlo and Jose both made grave error's that went beyond the heirachy.

We've both served  similar time, it was much easier when the pre requisite was 40 pts no matter who we signed.
