This dude is really bad, a weak link in our team. Both Christensen and Rudiger are way better. Conte made a big call dropping the captain last season, he needs to do it again. Failhill will cost us if he doesn't.

He may not be world-class, but he's clearly underrated and underappreciated. Some of his blocks and last-ditch defending are fantastic, and have saved us on countless occasions. He's no JT on the ball, but he's a lot better than most people seem to think.

My problem with Gaz is that while he's a great personality and at his best he can be marvelous and produce stunning defending (and the occasional goal) however he's just as likely to do something stupid.
 

I have come across this guy (the OP) on other forum's and i strongly recommend an immediate ban.

All he can do are last ditch blocks because he's messed up in the first place, which is why it's come to that. He's always got an error in him as well.

i never feel secure with him on the pitch. Never.

Correct. He is an old fashioned defender, no fancy stuff, just heading, tackling, blocking etc. those are his strong points, and sadly the art of defending is something that is vanishing from the modern game.

Fair enough it's hard for me to not be grateful to him for playing in the final in Munich, but he is just a weak link and always has been throughout his Chelsea career. Even worse is that we have two quality young dudes in Christensen and rudiger who are both more worthy of starting.

I can't believe the OP actually said that, can you ??

He didn't play a huge role in any of those trophies. Yes he played in those games, but he didn't contribute anything any average centre back couldn't have.

I had the opportunity to see GC play in person - I just love the guy - then when he speaks, 100% professional - You English are soo freakin' lucky to have players like GC on your side - here in the US we can only dream of players like Cahill - whenever I can, I will give a toast to the New CFC Captain, One Gary Cahill

His current performances have been poor for sure, but he isn't the only one.

Would like to see Christensen more.
