His distribution is good too. Need to manage him and playing time well because within a year he’ll be knocking on the door for first team football. 

Ampadu has been one of our best performers during pre-season.

I think Zappa has looked decent in pre season, may just prove me wrong. 

A lot of empty seats tonight, £30 for a midweek, evening friendly off the back of the Charity Shield and 5 days before the new season was ridiculous from the club. Should have sold tickets £20 adults, £15 juniors and sold the place out. Not like we needed the revenue from tonight is it?

It's great to see him taking control of the game from cb, he's actually being the play maker so far, amazing for such a young kid

Attacks have broken down with him, runs in to people too often. When he’s on it, he’s brilliant, but we all know that’s not often enough.

Ampadu looks great. Wouldn't mind him starting against Huddersfield.

Ampadu fantastic, Drinkwater looking very very disinterested 

Tammy is not doing much up front though. Not enough of a presence.

have to join everyone who has commented on Ampadu - he looks really good for a young player. Better than many seasoned pros.

I was just about to post exactly the same thing about rlc, the game is going on around him and he's just not going looking for it 

Ampadu looks taller and stronger than he did last season for me.
Looks ready to be a important part of the squad this season.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's in front of Christensen in the pecking order right now.

 Think RLC is playing well and having good combinations. It is the first time I can say that about him, to tell you the truth.

We're doing okay, have to admit thought we'd get a pasting when I first glanced at the Lyon lineup

Hopefully Kovacic is indeed coming in. RLC is not good enough for us.

 

For me Ampadu could be starting ahead of Luiz. Provides similar qualities on the ball and distribution capacity, solid densively and probably not prone to brain farts like Luiz.
