August 1, 20187 yr You could tell Loftus-Cheek was going to miss that. He didn't look at all comfortable.
August 1, 20187 yr Hudson-Odoi was great, Morata dire. Otherwise we were okay apart from 2nd half. We didn't take our chances and we lost. Normal scenario.
August 1, 20187 yr just waiting for the Arsenal dressing room celebration pics to appear on twitter in a few minutes

August 1, 20187 yr First half we were much better and had the chances to probably kill it. We missed a penalty and had a few chances missed. we need to kill games off
August 1, 20187 yr So what have we learned from this game? - Need to focus more on the tempo, we were too slow and there was hardly any of the quick passing today - The back 4 is too narrow and pacy wide players cause a lot of problems - Morata should never take penalties - Hudson-Odoi could slot right into the starting 11 and not look out of place - Need to stay focussed right to the end - Bakayoko looks best, when he does nothing at all Edited August 1, 20187 yr by Zeta
August 1, 20187 yr A lot of positive signs, I’m really looking forward to the season! Hudson Odoi must play often next season, he’s so exciting to watch. Imagine him and Hazard, they’ll wreak havoc!!
August 1, 20187 yr This team already looks like it’s struggling for goals. Slightly worried that we’ll be relying on Hazard to conjure something up more often than not. The striker situation needs looking at, right now I’m not confident with any of our options leading the line week in, week out. Giroud is probably our best forward at the moment.
August 1, 20187 yr Who cares, have to admit I do a bit. f**king hate losing and especially to Arsenal. Could have won it in the first half hour but after that Arsenal were the better team. All the subs didn’t help us. CHO looks very good and seems to have what it takes to go to the very top. Abraham and lotus cheek, I just can’t see it.

Only they would celebrate winning a penalty shoot-out in a friendly like it was a final I know, it’s embarssing, saw them all getting prepared to celebrate, like it actually meant something. I can’t stand pre season shootouts, I think it’s my new pet peeve.
August 1, 20187 yr Any idea when the rest of the lads return? There is a large Kante spaced void in that midfield.
August 1, 20187 yr To be fair to Loftus Cheek, when he came on the momentum was with arsenal, the team wasn’t playing well, we were under pressure and it’s not surprising he didn’t have a good game.
August 1, 20187 yr Poor finishing costs us again. Fair play to Morata for coming back so quickly, terrible shame for him to miss a penalty and another hat full of chances. But small fry for him right now, other bigger stuff going on in life.
August 1, 20187 yr Rudiger, Luiz, Ampadu, Christensen in that order is the centre back pecking order for me ... We have two decent midfielders, one of whom isn't back yet. RLC doesn't really fit in the team in any formation I can think of. Moses can cover for Willian and Pedro in the bang average winger competition. CHO was superb. He doesn't need loans or wrapping in cotton wool ... he just needs to be on the team sheet each week. Barkley was disappointing. Bulka loses nothing in comparison to Caballero and Green. Bakayoko and Drinkwater need to be sold as soon as possible. No loans ... just sold ... We need to be more clinical with chances. I don't see Morata or Abraham being a part of that unfortunately. Alonso is not a decent left back in a back four. Palmieri possibly not either, but too early to tell.

August 1, 20187 yr 2 minutes ago, the special one said: I think he's just sh*t personally. That’s a massive overstatement.
August 1, 20187 yr I think this was very informative match for Sarri. Clearly Odoi, Ampadu and Bulka need to be around first team and play as much as possible. That can be our spine for many years to come. Bulka looks an outstanding prospect. Luiz and Rudiger worked well together. Azilicueta is great defensively but hasn't got that pace of Zappacosta offensively. Christiansen was good. Jorginho did well and Barkley was so so. Loftus Cheek I still have my reservations on him. All the rest were mediocre. Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Moses and Piazon need to be moved on ASAP as they are not showing to be Chelsea quality.
