Hazard - The inevitable bids and who to replace him with?

And in Isco and Asensio they already have players similar level to hazard. I just a can’t see them blowing a world record fee on him. They need a 30 a season player, only neymar or Mbappe fits the bill for them imo

Hazard is much better than both of them. Describing them as similar is an insult.  Isco is quality, Asensio is very exciting and has a lot of potential however Hazard is world class.

Even if he is, my point being I don’t think hazard is the type of player they are crying out for

Real say they are interested but would he actually fit their system, he is nothing like Ronaldo and far more like Messi, they would need to change the way they play completely, he os more barca type player but they have Messi, I can see Mbappe fit in far better at Real

We're in for a tough season if we lose hazard. Im not sure he is in reals top 2 targets.

I hope he stays for one more season but we have to sign 2 more quality players to help him. Jorginho is a good start but we need more to get back in the top 4. I always say new signing s need 2 season to adapt to PL life so im hoping morata comes good.

I would only sell him if we could be able to get Dybala. Otherwise keep him there is no player who could replace him even Dybala can't but he won't be that much of a downgrade since hes younger and have potential to be world class.

Other players on his level are basically Bale(Crocked and is 29), Neymar (unattainable), Mbappe(Unattainable).

So all in all if he leaves we are f**ked! :)

if Real are going to make a bid - £175mil + Isco lets do this...its clear he doesnt want to be here anymore.

He has said many times he is happy here and that his family is settled here, and in interviews on the same day as the one people are moaning about he said he is going to try and win the league with Chelsea this season, people in particular news outlets cherry pick parts of interviews in order to create a story that fits their narative and generates clicks nothing is therefore clear

If we really were unable to stop Hazard going, getting a quality player like Dembele in return would be decent for us.

We would still be worse off but it’d help soften the blow. The previous story that Barca would offer Andre Gomes in part exchange was basically offensive.

Theres not one player out there who can make us soften the blow.....he is that good. Wont get dybala, griezman etc.....we will get hit no matter what. I know Dembele is still Young but I doubt we will be thrilled by Dembele....barca were stupid to fork out 96m for him.

What like Higuain?

If that's who he wants. We trusted Conte with Morata and Jose with Drogba when they wanted them. If you're not going to give the manager who he wants, they're not going to achieve maximum results.

Lot of talk about Zaha wanting to leave Palace with Spurs favourites to get him.

However, if we lose both Hazard and Willian then I would snap him up (in fact would take him over Willian anyway but would rather we blooded CHO).

I know it didn't go well for him at Utd but it was wrong move, wrong time. He IS a game-changer / match-winner. People wanted Mahrez but this guy turns up more often and is 2 years younger and at 25 is just the right age. AND it would mean we wouldn't lose to Palace again next season!!

I would pretty devastated to replace hazard with zaha.

I also don't think Zaha is more consistent than Mahrez.

You can't really replace Hazard with anyone. Not many are in Hazard's class or can come close but Zaha IS decent and would take him ahead of Willian or Mahrez.

He is decent, and would probably an okay squad signing for a top 6 side.

However if hazard goes we will have money to spend, so I think we should going for the best we can attract, if that is zaha then we have fallen so far from grace.

If we lose our best player for big money, im hoping we spend it more Liverpool did with coutinho, rather how Tottenham spent it with bale

Quality over quantity.

Zaha would definately fall into the latter category.

But who do you have in mind IF we lose Hazard (bearing in mind we cannot offer them CL football)?

I agree that Zaha is not TOP quality but he IS decent and Palace will be looking at between £60M-£70M. I think he gets viewed as a lesser player just because he is at Palace. Last season, he was the reason Palace didn't get relegated (although @RIP Mourinho will argue it was all down to RLC!!)

£70m for Zaha is unbelievable. You obviously rate him ALOT more than I do if you be happy to see us spend that. I would rather keep Willian all day.

Personally i would only sell hazard if we got a player in return, since it is so late in the window.

We can't offer champions league football, although it didn't stop us beating city to Jorginho, and if there's any group of players that would be okay with missing a season in the champions league, you would think it's real Madrid, since they have won 4 out the last 5.

I agree it's unbelievable but that's where we are in football these days and not as mad as £67M for a goal-keeper.

Of course our best option will be to keep Hazard but if that isn't an option we need to sign someone. I wouldn't be happy spending £70M on Zaha but if we lose Hazard AND Willian we will have pretty full pockets and that will be the going rate. If we can get more for Willian than we would have to spend on Zaha it's a no-brainer. 4 years younger and will win you more games over the course of a season.
