May 16, 20197 yr I suppose if nothing else the episode was at least an accurate dramatisation of US foreign policy.
May 20, 20197 yr - The Dothraki constantly respawn and multiply. - Was it a few weeks that Jon was in the clink? It takes that to put up scaffolding round here, someone rebuilt kings landing in that time. - Sent to death convicts can now pick leaders. It could go on and on! Lets just pretend it finished at episode 3, there would be less loose ends ?
May 20, 20197 yr now i understand why the writers said they were going to get drunk and hide !! pair of losers, should of left it unfinished, would of been more acceptable
May 20, 20197 yr so now Arya is Ponce de Leon? WTF? So nothing happens to her list? Also I am sure The Dothraki & The Unsullied would have ripped Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen to pieces after he killed Dani. BTW how in the fuck did they find out? It was just Dani & Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen in the remnants of The Throne Room. Edited May 20, 20197 yr by robdog
May 20, 20197 yr Absolutely dreadful season of a great show. Clear that the writers had no idea of what to do with the plotlines and so decided to throw curveballs for the sake of throwing curveballs. Seasons 1-6 would have had me say that GoT was going to be the greatest tv show ever made, but they've managed to destroy that with incredibly weak writing and wandering away from the lack of 'plot armour' for main characters that made the show so gripping in the first place. We never found out who the night king was, where bran warged during the battle, and a multitude of other plotlines that seemed to be f**ked off into oblivion. I'm going to watch The Wire.
May 21, 20197 yr Didn’t mind this ending...Starks win huh? The last two seasons were rushed with lots of plot holes, but it was still a great show and I’ll miss it. Hopefully we get a prequel series that stands up to the the earlier seasons of GoT.
May 21, 20197 yr Author @Blue Exile only just noticed your bio on here, Friday Night Lights quote is it? If so, now there's a proper TV series.
May 21, 20197 yr Author Still can't believe how easily Jon killed Dany. Greyworm has been standing off against Jon for the last couple of episodes but all of a sudden he lets Jon go into a room, fully armed, with Dany and no Unsullied anywhere to be seen. Even when Drogon was shooting flames and screaming still no one came rushing in? Drogon f**ked off with the body too, how does anyone even know Jon killed her? So i get that Bran is king and Tyrian the hand etc. but who actually lives in King Landing? Didn't abslutey everyone get killed? Why does the Nights Watch even still exist? I'm sure that was just to fight Wight Walkers? Season of watching Arya become a 'facelss man' for her to only ever use it once? Oh come on, that should have been utilised more this season. Azor Ahai prophecy meant absolutely nothing then? Prince that was promised prophecy? Did Bran plan this all along to become king seeing as he can see everything and all outcomes etc. Why on earth is Bronn master of coin for any reason other than banter? What on earth was Bran doing during the battle of Winterfell? What was he warged into? Anything else to do with the Children of the Forest? Or are the extinct now? I NEED ANSWERS!
May 21, 20197 yr Watched it last night. Thought up until Dany dying it was an ok, solid episode. Then everything after that was an absolute shower. They've spent the last 2 years developing Jon's lineage only for it to be absolutely worthless in the end? @RIP Mourinho you are bang on about Arya and the many faced gods story. No real pay off to that. Also, why does the nights watch still even exist? The jump from Dany's death to Tyrions trial was nonsensical. At least with the earlier seasons they would have fleshed it out a bit more. Conveniently the Iron Throne survived all of the destruction of last week, only to be destroyed this. One thing i will say is visually this series has been amazing. The shot of Dany walking towards her armies with Drogon's wings spread behind her, and the bit where Drogon was buried in the ashes and stood up were both incredible shots.

Bronn master of coin lmao, really couldn't understand that, isn't he a lowborn mercenary? I'm surprised he can even read or write fluently let alone know a good degree of math. This season has just confused me... I refuse to believe the books (if they finish) would ever finish anything like this.
May 21, 20197 yr I think what GoT has done is show us the difference between a TV show based on amazing books that keeps true to the books (bulk of the series), and what TV writers will produce when they do not have such a fabulous book to follow or when they try to put their "cleverness" ahead of the true nature of the books (final season). So many ways this final season could have been written better. So many more questions left unanswered, and not in a good way. (IE, Anyone have a clue why in episode 1 at the very end the Night King had left those limbs in the Bolton castle in the shape of of the Tygarean's crest and had them suddenly catch flame? Yep, apparently even the TV show writers don't have a f**king clue why they did that.....just one of many, many examples) ....and so many contradictions...... I'm also now not at all excited for whatever these dud writers do for Star Wars....... if these are the best writers in Hollywood then it's no wonder all the best material we see in film/on TV tend to not originate from Hollywood writers but rather is material that is adapted/taken by Hollywood writers. I was hoping that when John set off north we would see another one of those spirals, indicating the White Walkers are not defeated, that would've been some goosebumps and at least the spiral would've had a purpose... But mehh.
May 21, 20197 yr John kills danery, then instead of sh*tting his pants he masters drogon (he is a targaryen after all) flys drogon to greyworm and the dothraki, drops danery at their feet, tells them his the dude now and unless they all get on a boat he will toast the lot of them. Then he gets all sad, hands the crown to bran, and sentences him self to the wall. trouble is they have turned him into such a depressed issued up wimp he just goes and confesses and throws him self at grey worms mercy ?????? ffs. well at least it was nice he got back with his wolf
May 22, 20197 yr I must have been one of the few who was satisfied enough with the ending. Finales are ALWAYS annoying and rarely satisfy. I went in with such low expectations. It was pretty cheesy (Drogon destroying the throne etc), but at least MOST of the characters got some sort of wrapping up deal, with possible sequels as options for interested parties. I was worried it was going to end like the Sopranos or something worse.
November 14, 20196 yr I realise I'm massively late to commenting on this. But this image is where it ended for me.... cannot articulatly say how painfully dissapointing season 7&8 were.
