Makes a right arse of whoever broke that story doesn’t it, managers should do that more often

Managers will always say this I believe. No manager in their right mind will go out and say "We've launched a bid for XYZ"

What centre back is available that fits that criteria, bearing in mind we wouldnt spend massivley on a 28 or 29 year old with very little resale value?

I dont see any options that give us a massive upgrade on what we have already, there are some promising centre backs that could make the step up, but no real stand out players.

Upamecano, Kamara, Ruben Dias, Romagnoli, Tapsoba, Konate, Ake, Soyoncu, Demiral, Gabriel. All potentially good, but maybe Lamps wants to see how the current group develop, and see if any of the other options real make a solid case over the next 12 months.

With Haverz it just seems like we have an incredible opportunity with many of our rivals hamstrung financially by covid, and we could take advantage and sign one of hottest prospects in europe.

If we have the cash, I'd want us to go for David Alaba. World class at both LB and CB. At a good age and improves us instantly while being able to be a good role model for the youngsters coming through.

Leverkusen have missed out on CL, so if we are to get him there's something in the contract about him being cheaper than what it was if Leverkusen did make the CL.

If Havertz comes in, I truly believe our attack and midfield is sorted for the next several years, so lets make it happen!

Well they won’t lie and say no bid they will just say the club handles that side not me or something like that he said clearly there was no bids put in

Really hope he signs for us.

Sell Barkley, Drinkwater and Bakayoko to cover the costs

Also Batshuayi, Moses, Zappacosta, Emerson. That's 6-7 players and Pasalic already gone for around 10m.

Leverkusen might not be in the CL next season. But they are still in Europa League so we'll see what will happen next month, I'm optimistically waiting for a new LB and Havertz!

Sell all those and we've covered the costs for Havertz and potentially funded a decent LB as well!

Would be another Marina Masterclass if she's managed that. Not only are we getting the fees, but we've also saved a sh*t ton on the wages

Wouldn't count on selling all of those, we couldn't do it last season or the season before that. The contracts they are on clubs simply won't match so I'd imagine some more loans which interested clubs find much more viable.

I think he is ours anyway, Real Madrid want Mane, or Mbappe, Yoonited want Grealish or Saul miguel, Liverpool won't spend the  money, Man city might need Kane, or a proper Centre back.

What is your angle on this.  We're not competing against the teams you mentioned.  We're competing against Bayern.  It's not what I would look for when it comes to professional football, but if the best club in your home country, who is also a top 5 club in the world, comes calling for you....you probably go there!

Bayern would probably sign him next year and ask him to stay and run out his contract at Leverkusen.

Bayern are going after Sane as their main target

Sane and Harvetz are not the same type of player.  If that were true then we'd have no need for Harvetz because we already signed Zyiech and Werner...

Pure conjecture, trying to paint the picture that Kai isn't the most in demand player around, other players are more sought for the 'Bigger' Boys

But if you don't need a player why would you spend money on them?  If you honestly think that clubs just buy players because they are good, you don't know much about football.

Reports say that Bayern will not sign Havertz this transfer window, Havertz on the other hand doesn't want to wait another year for Bayern to get him. That makes us favourites over Bayern.

It won't make any sense for Bayer Leverkusen to keep him either, if he dosen't sign a new contract that is. Next year he only has one year left on his contract and a "rival" like Bayern can come in and pay far less then now.
