No f**king about around the oppositions penalty box and passing the ball back to the defense like we do, once they cross that half way line, they are crossing it or trying to play somebody in. It won't work every time, but it's so relentless and they are confident that they will always get another chance. We more than have the quality to do the same, but for some reason we just don't do it. I have to add that I'm speaking only in a current state of utter football depression at what's happened since we've lost James and Chilly. Completely agree ref. the urgency and directness. Although if this Liverpool side had lost Trent and Robbo, I guess the Scouse would all be moaning and groaning like me; so fundamental to their play. How many fcuking chances do Palace need to grab a lifeline here by the way!?!

I don't understand why the Premier League puts up with it. We are talking about the biggest sport in the world and the biggest league in the world, it shouldn't be like this. It's really not hard to see Firmino was offside there, so it's either incompetence, or the refs in this league are bent. When your organisation is in control of a former referee who was also terrible (Mike Riley) then something is obviously wrong. They have lost the confidence of the fans, pundits and the media, they all need to be fazed out.
January 23, 20224 yr Just to further prove how terrible our refs are, take a look at Burnley once again getting away with a dirty tackle. Edited January 23, 20224 yr by Scott Harris
January 23, 20224 yr I really hope Arsenal drop points against Burnley. But Jesus, Burnley are a blight on the league. Dismal doesn't even come close; total disgrace of a side.
January 23, 20224 yr That isn’t a penalty. It’s pointless trying to finish above Liverpool with officials helping them out.
January 23, 20224 yr Not a pen for me. Jota lost control of the ball and impaled himself on Guaita. Oh well.
January 23, 20224 yr That penalty decision is the most pathetic I have ever seen in my life. Absolutely stinking; completely killed off a great performance from Palace. Football has become disgusting.
January 23, 20224 yr Good god, these refs are abysmal. That's not a penalty, he's not even getting onto the ball. They must have watched the replay 50 times before making a decision, Kevin Friend wasn't even sure when he watched it himself. When do we reach the point where we say enough is enough? The game is in the hands of complete clowns.
January 23, 20224 yr Liverpool again, f**k me never seen VAR assist 3 points like this before, terrible game for the sport.
January 23, 20224 yr If i was a Palace fan i would not blame the team for getting a few reds cards today.
January 23, 20224 yr You won't hear Carragher saying "that's no acceptable refereeing" like he usually does when Var do this in games not involving his beloved Liverpoo.
January 23, 20224 yr This has been a horrible 8 days of football. Really don't want to see another Liverpool title win. Is sickening how the powers that be are using VAR to help their favorite clubs.
January 23, 20224 yr Palace fans will be disgusted when they get home and see the TV replays, a real kick in the teeth from the officials.

I would be shocked if City even drop 10 points at all.
