We are easily good enough to finish 3rd behind City and Liverpool. West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenham are another level below us, and than Man United are a level below even that LOL

Look how crap Tottenham were in our two SF legs of the league Cup, and then ask yourself how that side can win a run of PL games. Not going to happen.

Yep, the reason they(we) are in a top 4 race is because there's no consistency there.

I'm very disillusioned with thing at the minute but i'm not worried about losing top four.

Football can change very quickly. The fact is that if Tottenham win their games in hand, they go above us, and if we lose or draw against them, Arsenal and United can also overtake us if they win their games in hand.

We are a mess, to allow the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and United to gain so much ground on us from the position we were in is nothing short of a massive collapse.

Wolves also have a few games in hand and are playing well. I would include them as contenders. As well as West Ham.

Basically, it's pretty much identical to last season and seasons before that. We are relying on that same pool of teams to slip up because we have had yet another collapse. Same sh*t, different season.

Different manager, most of the same group of players.

But we know who gets blamed.

Yep, just for once, I would like to see the fans unanimously back the manager on this one. Don't make excuses for the players again and turn on the manager, because we won't find anybody better than Tuchel.

Would need to be a good atmosphere on Sunday. Half the times TT chants, the other half jeers for the players.

We really will have bottled it if we don't get 3rd place at least this season, we have no more games against the teams above us in the table, and all our away games bar one are against bottom half of the table teams.

After tomorrow we don't play again in the league until Palace away on Feb 19th. In that time I expect our top 4 rivals to close the gap at least. Depending on how the game goes tomorrow we may even drop out of top 4 before we play again. Either way the pack will tighten up so there will be added pressure on every game. Not to mention we have the distractions of all the other competitions we are involved in. We won't get top 4 unless we start winning regularly again. We probably need an average of 2 points per game from here to be sure. But as we have seen form can change on the flip of a coin. So while it is hard to see where our next win comes from right at the moment, things may look very different in a month or 2. Lets hope so anyway.

One thing that I am scratching my head over though. Considering our involvement in so many competitions this season, and our thin squad, I am really surprised the board/management team hasn't brought in any reinforcements this window so far. It is not going to get any easier for the squad. If they are exhausted now how will they manage the next few months?

Call me mad, but Is there a chance we can still win it? We win our 2 games in hand and we go 10 points behind we 10 games left. Easier said than done but all of our remaining games we go in as heavy favourites bar Arsenal.

I think man city and liverpool drop points before the end of the season, so theres no reason at worst we cant finish a lot closer to them.

It would take a miracle.

Even if City drop points this season, do you really see them dropping 11? I don't, I am almost certain that they won't, same goes for Liverpool. City would need to lose 4 games just to give us a chance of overtaking them, without us dropping any points on the way. It would be the biggest collapse in the history of the Premier League if both City and Liverpool collapsed from here.

Exactly. If any team win the "most likely to drop points and bugger it up" award, it's us

Haha, ye pipe dream, silly me., but theres no reason why we cant finish much closer to both teams. Saying that though I imagine we will still drop.more both than both.

You all laughed at this last week. Now we can go 8 points behind them with 9 games left.

The dont beat Liverpool and its 5/6 points behind with 8 games left.

Theres a very real possibility this will happen. All jokes aside though its all if buts and maybes at this point..but we can still dream cant we. Id love my hopeful prediction to come true..we all would.

Had we not lost Chilwell, James and Havertz for the winter, and the former two beyond, TT would have kept us in the title race.

We will never know. I would be more inclined to say that had we simply kept with the champions league winning team and not tried to shoehorn a £100m donkey into it, then we would also have been in a better position.
