Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"

All great reading but right now Klopp is laughing 'cos it looks like the dippers dodged a bullet. Caicedo MIGHT come good, but right now he looks bang average whereas that horrible lot are sitting top of the league.

Liverpool at the moment look like they are relying a lot on individual brilliance. Their fans constantly show discontent with their midfield at times (much like we are now) and yet Salah, TAA, and Allison continue to get them by. Can't forget the Fulham match where they were outplayed yet won the game through 3 absolute screamers. Not sure how long this will last.

Still fully expecting City to go on a roll once KDB and Haaland are fit.

Because despite being a massive arrogant, salty, moody bellend he's the best manager in the world alongside Pep. If you put any of our midfielders in a Klopp team they would look great, and vice versa if you put any of his midfielders in our team we'd be calling them a waste of money.

Best manager in the world with the best GK, RB, CB and RW in world football yet has one one league title out of a possible eight. Same amount as Conte at Chelsea and Ranieri with Leicester.

Same amount of CL trophies with 'Pool as the apparently god awful Chelsea.

Klopp plays nice football but is a serial bottle job as proven throughout his career. The almost man.

European trophies we better them actually in that period.

They have us on domestic cups.

I'm refusing to be Klopp's personal cheerleader, but I will say this is a terrible take.

He is just salty. Klopp like to  nonsense.

I love when klopp talk about football tactics, it is very enlightening. His first mnf changed a lot of my perspectives when looking at the game.

But other than that it is usually nonsense

That's fine, in a season or 2 Caicedo may prove people wrong. However, the matter is they got a under 20M player and doing the job just fine ( if not better) right now, and loads of cash kept in the bank for the future purchase ( which I doubt we will be able to repeat next season). From his perspective, it's more about getting a good player for peanuts, having a bit of dig at us is just an add-on.

Caciedo is one of the worst transfers of all time that was clear the day we signed him.

It's a ridiculous amount of money for what Caciedo has the talent to offer.

He may turn out to be good for us but when the squad has so many holes and such a lack of talent spending £115m on Caciedo is staggering.

Those two cup final draws against them f**ked us over.

That's your opinion. Doesn't change the fact he's been to 4 CL/UEL finals and only managed to win one. The only CL/UEL final he actually won was only guaranteed because he was up against serial bottlejobs, Spurs.

What truth? That Jorginho is and was a bang average footballer and you still get upset over an Arsenal player a year later?

Grow up, pal.

I still think Caicedo will improve in future years but its painstakingly obvious that if we were spending £100m+ on a 'DM' we should have signed Rice for this young squad.

The truth that you're just a pathetic poster that constantly invents sh*t. History has proven you wrong every single time, obviously when you provoke people they will call you out, deal with it and stop being such a sore loser. Blaming your most hated player for Kante's injury was a new low even for you.

Jorginho was at the top of our defensive player list every single season he played here;

According to you as soon as we got rid of Jorginho we would be winning the league, I see how correct you have been.

Hi again mate, good to hear from you.

Thanks for sending over the above. Not sure why you've only sorted by tackles + interceptions and not used Per90 stats either? Jorginho inability to get injured would obviously mean he makes a higher number of tackles and interceptions due to the volume of minutes played.

Let me break it down a bit further for you:

Jorginho 22/23 stats PER90:

2nd highest in the squad for challenges lost per90. 20th in the squad for tackle % per90. 14th in the squad for blocks per90 (below Chukwuemeka, Enzo, Kante and Gallagher). Stats from Fbref as per your post.

Jorginho 21,22 stats PER90:

1st in the squad for challenges lost with 2.13 PER90, Ziyech in 2nd only lost 1.77 per90 and Kennedy in 3rd only lost 1.67 per90. Quite a substantial amount by defensive wonder J5. Blocks per90 isn't too bad as last season, managed to make his way up 9th (still below Kovacic, Kante and SAUL mind you). 15th for tackle %, below Kovacic, RLC, Saul and Kante.

I know school has probably broken up for Christmas, but i'm at work so don't really have time to go through every single year like you have but happy to do so if you wish. Just let me know my mate.

According to you as soon as we got rid of Jorginho we would be winning the league, I see how correct you have been.

You keep referencing this and i keep asking you to send the post where i made this comment. You often go quiet when i ask that though? I said we wouldn't challenge for a league title with Jorginho as he couldn't sustain a good enough level over a 38 game season. That's a fact, we didn't challenge for a single league title while he was here.

I was just having a little laugh with you here, but you've once again blown your lid and got upset over J5. Glad he's starting every game for Arsenal though, happy for him.

We all know stats can be interpreted however we want but we all had the pain of watching Jorginho in the league for all those years. Eyes don't lie.

Have a good break.

It was also very apparent (and now even more so), that a striker was more of a priority than a midfielder who doesn't appear to excel at anything in particular (although I will grant you there are very few quality strikers about, but there MUST have been better than Jackson!)

Should have just thrown the Caicedo money at Spurs for Kane and made do with just Lavia.

Or just not wasted so much on random heads like Ugochukwu and Casadei, who will be playing for Reading in 4 years.

Be even better if we actually signed him when Lamps told us to.

Starting to look a bit weird when people are gushing over Rice at Arsenal but slagging off Caicedo, one of them is a rival, and one of them is our own. We should be backing our own players.

It's over, move on.

Not sure if this is aimed at me or in general but not sure where i've slagged off Caicedo?

I've always stated he's a project player and we won't see the best of him for a year or two (like most of the squad). With the current squad i'm expecting mid table until 2025.

As for Rice I'm just reiterating we made the wrong choice for immediate success in that role. No different from Gol still beating the same drum about Jorginho or Argo enjoying telling people on every post that Lukaku wasn't the right signing for us.

No, I'm not a fan. I would have gone for Ollie Watkins at Villa. No chance of getting him now.

Not really you tbf, mostly the likes of Bob Stark and a few others that go on about it every week, like it's nearly 2024 now, get the f**k over it.

Media hype on Declan Rice was always going to be overblown.  Talented English players getting their big club move was always a recipe for fairly tale narratives when ever they do something decent. To anyone who's actually watched Arsenal he hasn't been that influential than say Partey of last season. Defensively strong but as far as his ability on the ball he has limitations.  He pops in with a couple match winning goals despite not really putting in a memorable performance, the media will eat it up. "£100m bargain". "Rice best CM in the league".

Truth of the matter is put Caicedo in Arsenal and Rice here, we'd be seeing different. One is a functioning settled team, the other isn't.
