Apparently between Potter, Winstanley and our other recruitment peoples the Porto keeper, rather than another raid on Brighton for Sanchez, is our top goalkeeper target and we have made contact with his club to sign him, likely in the summer.

 

Anyone watch Portuguese football to say if he is any good?

I did read it wrong initially, and was mystified by the rumour 

Personally prefer Sanchez but he will no doubt cost a PL premium now

I'm going to play hipster scout and say we should get the Plymouth keeper who single handedly took us to extra time in the cup (not just based on that game).

He's like Kepa, a bit shorter for a modern keeper and great with his feet and as a penalty stopper.

75m release clause apparently. Will we never learn.

Depends. Hitting the awkward 2 year mark next summer I believe. 

He'd be my number one choice. 

Yesterday he almost pulled a major blunder in the last moment against Ghana and left the field pretty much in tears, Ronaldo had to go talk to him after, kinda worrying sign tbh... Even Kepa didn't look that fazed when he was in that awful run of form. 

He's not everything you read from him. And I'm not saying this because he plays for Porto. 

He is good, but very inconsistent, at least at this point of his career.

Same, I saw it and thought what's he done now!

Rumours about Porto need to sell and have enlisted Jorge Mendes to make it happen.

Apparently we also withdrew from interest in Onana as we found out Costa could be available for a fair bit less than his 75mill release clause and are targeting him.

Watch this space I guess.

Some reports he is the mystery player on Pochettino fab four hit list. Caicedo,  Lavia, Olise and Costa.

I’ve not seen to much of him but the games I have he’s was appalling, arguably him and mendy where the 2 worst goalkeepers at the World Cup 

There is a short list of new and improved goalkeepers and he is on that list.

I keep asking. lol.  i have to ask "is _____such-and-such GK ___on the list?" and then i will get a Y or N.  rather than the list. It is frustrating.

Jan Oblak is not on the list.

I'm probably not the best to answer this but I've heard this guy and the Dortmund and Georgian Valencia goalkeepers are the list.  I think the Valencia guy is my favourite only down to the fact his name is more unpronounceable than Kepas, and adds to Chukwuemeka and Ugochukwu.  Apart from that I know nothing about them only Diogo Costa nearly gifted a goal in the World Cup from a dodgy pass.

Mamardashvili. Good, gets down quickly for a tall guy. Some camera dives but fills space quickly. I am not sure of his distributuin tbf though.
