Thoughts on Morten Hjulmand?

In general?

Very physical but not too rash in duels like Caicedo, great vision especially long balls in behind, solid defensively, would be a fantastic signing to be honest.

Which one of Makelele, Lampard & Essien was the giant midfielder?

That’s like 20 years ago - different era. Look at last 10 years enough answers there. Plus how many JTs and Carvalhos do you see around .. that team was full of world class players - rest of league was quite dross outside of 3 teams and pool as a cup team.

Enzo Fernandez: Chelsea would demand £120m for wantaway m...

Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea after they failed to qualify for Europe, but any move for the Argentina midfielder would cost around £120m.

“Javier Pastore, Enzo Fernandez's agent, is exploring potential destinations, notably his preferred option of Real Madrid.”

Perez isn’t paying £120m for any player. Seems he is stuck; Madrid won’t pay, City prefer Anderson. Agree with Sconnie Blue, Atletico Madrid is the likely destination but that fee will need to be around £80m

.....but will he still be sh*t when he goes elsewhere or will he be one of those who we say oh that another one who we couldnt get the best out of who has thrived elsewhere.

The problem may be us, the club, the managers, the set up. Just saying.

we might just replace him with more expensive sh*t if the club cant solve this.

Doesn’t matter when he gives half arsed performances and joys about like he has done since he arrived. End of the day he’s not interested to represent us anymore so needs gone. He wouldn’t even make the bench of our best teams in recent years

Who have we sold that has thrived elsewhere though?

He will need to go to a team that will play him as a box crasher to justify the outlay and the ridiculous wages (rumoured to be £250k-£350k/w). If is moved back into CM, he will be exposed.

so we take the 120 million bring in a super star or potential super star and hey presto hes a fckin dud , rinse and repeat...

a better question might be who has come to us and thrived... we dont traditionally under Blue co get the best out of players

Playing as a CM in a slower league and in a dominant team like Madrid would not expose him

Yep, this is the issue. No problem selling Enzo, but I don't trust these clowns to replace him properly. If we do manage to get close to £100m for him, we know they're not bringing in the right player to replace him.

I like to live in the past when our players looked liked they’d seen a football before, felt like they couldn’t be outrun by myself (an overweight middle aged man) and weren’t the biggest bunch of dislikable c**ts ever assembled. Let me be happy.

If only getting rid of Enzo would solve all our problems. If only.

He is many things but he has at least contributed a goal or an assist from time to time.

Shouldnt we be looking to offload non contributing players as a priority, first.? He will contribute again when we get the fee in for his sale probably a little more than some of the wasters at this club. Oh and when he goes to another club and contributes on the pitch for them will he still be sh*t or will we think "oh thats another one who we couldnt get the best out of that others have"

The commentary on this forum about Enzo Fernandez is at odds with the general Chelsea community they think he is great. Just saying.

By general Chelsea community do you mean Nigerian twitter accounts? I can tell you the majority of match going fans I speak to have a very similar view as this forum.

Really? Opinions on Ezno are always 50/50 among the ones I speak to

Mostly old gits like me, im in the minority thinking, if we get an offer take it. I dont use twitter like you youngsters.

My opinion is that Enzo is a good player, but not quite good enough to build a team around. Which it seems like we’ve been trying to do since he arrived.

Concerned about how he’d be replaced though, with all the midfielders he have it seems we still lack a pure physical defensive anchor, as well as a carrier of the ball. Maybe even a box crasher when Enzo goes, though Santos may take that role

Guy can’t even control the tempo like Jorginho and beat the press.

I think Enzo wanting to leave is more of a ego issue for Eghbali, he went out their and signed him now his star asset wants to bin him off.

Knowing vulture capitalists he will dig his heels in.

I doubt we will get offers of much more than 80m for him but they might be tempted to take that based on book value if Enzo wants out. Like many others on here I have zero confidence in our ability to replace with a decent player. I think Wharton would be a decent option but I suspect Palace would want a sizable fee for him.
