They look at UEFA raking it in with the CL, Europa League and Conference League annually, on top of the Euros. Hence FIFA look to create more sources of income and the players suffer. Yeah it's greed more than anything. They still rack up hundreds of millions every year that isn't a world cup year.

I saw the pics and "heartbeat monitor" for the French disallowed goal VAR has been soo much quicker with those 2 add-ons...looking forward to see how it carries on during the tournament. I hope it gets really tested because so far imo it's been much better...so far! Yeah they did show the offside picture afterwards. Our VAR fannying about drawing and moving lines up and down the pitch looks medieval compared to the Euro way

June 18, 20242 yr In contrast Portugal v Czech is poor. Czech are poor going forward and Portugal have only Leao running beyond thier defence yet his final ball is terrible. Ronaldo is not seeing much of the ball and has had two attempts both saved and one was off-side this might end up as 0-0.
June 18, 20242 yr Just going to point out Antonio Silva who we’ve been previously linked with for somewhere in the region of £70-80m is currently sitting on the bench in favour of the 7000 year old Pepe.
June 18, 20242 yr Portugal are my most disliked international side. A bunch of cheaters and they are also really jammy with their luck. Like with that own goal.
June 18, 20242 yr f**k me. What happened there ? Goal check ! Offside given after a couple of seconds!
June 18, 20242 yr Credit to Martinez the subs combined for the winner. I criticised the match earlier as a poor one, the second half certainly improved. I think Portugal would be better without Ronaldo though I don't think they will drop him.
June 18, 20242 yr The Ceczhs gave everything , feel sorry for em , worked themselves almost to exhaustion.

Martinez must be thinking of leaving him out surely? But if he does , the fans will never forgive him if they lose

Nope, we should stick to our sh*tty one. There'll be nothing to moan about...lol P.s. they did show them after the match. Edited June 18, 20242 yr by Simplymo
June 18, 20242 yr Did anyone watch the extras on iplayer? Is there a law against criticising Southgate? They each want to say the tactics was wrong (not pushing high up) to playing the wrong midfield partner to the left side issue but all being long winded as to not criticise Southgate! Maybe this and maybe that...but nothing direct. Cesc, Lineker, shearer and lamps. You can see them going pale. Lol Edited June 18, 20242 yr by Simplymo

I note Stuart Pearce came out about Foden, along the lines of the kid does not know what moves to pull on the left side of the pitch, it needs to be Gordon or Eze. Foden is the golden boy of the Premier League will Southgate drop him or persist, might not make a difference in the group stage yet one the knockouts come along. We already are compromised having Trippier at left back don't exacerbate it Gareth.........

Forcing players into roles they are uncomfortable with because they are good players. Doesn't matter how good a player is, if you play them in a position or formation that doesn't suit them, they won't be that same player that played for their club.

That and the fact England players during that period simply didn't like each other. Massive cliques for obvious reasons.
June 19, 20242 yr Looks like Kovacic and co will be joining Scotland on the first plane home........................!!

June 19, 20242 yr Scotland isn't happy about Lineker "sarcastic" comment about Steve Clark! I guess they didn't see the montage the BBC made of schicks goal against them in 2020. I think it's in the extras on iplayer. It was the reactions and footage of that goal from 10 different countries...lol
