Something about him lying about his fitness or stuff like that, can't remember the details He stormed out of Belgian training over a row about the captaincy. He wanted the armband for an Euro 2024 qualifying match but Tedesco named Lukaku instead. He has not been called up by the manager since then.

This one is LOW which stands for Lump of Wood. As in 'When Lukaku plays, Belgium have at least one LOW on the park' Any amusement I have about Lukaku is always diminished to almost nothing when I remember that it was Chelsea who paid £100m for him. I feel like I'm laughing at our football club ! Have we managed to get rid of him yet?

Not bad for a nation of 12 million? But for Croatia with population of UNDER 4 million to reach a World Cup final is just phenomenal. What a fantastic football team they have been over the years.

June 17, 20242 yr Lukaku.. what more needs to be said. One of the big reasons that recent Marina Granovskaia video that popped up online in the Chelsea-sphere did nothing for me.

Hazard basically was Belgium's golden generation. I was thinking earlier some players are probably tactical inept even though they’re great players. A good coach can get the best out of them working regularly with them. International coaches have virtually no time with players meaning footballers with less tactical knowledge could struggle. Italy, Spain, and German players always seem to make top managers and they usually do well in tournaments, maybe they are taught more than just technical skills in their academy’s. We’ve spent years saying we need more technically gifted English players, but maybe we need some more tactical know how.
June 17, 20242 yr This ref is very biased in France's favour. He keeps giving everything to them, and then a clear corner for Austria was given as a goal kick to France. Edited June 17, 20242 yr by Scott Harris

June 17, 20242 yr Bit random i know, but hearing the name Posch for Austria, i can't help but get the following image in my head Port Out, Starboard Home......
June 17, 20242 yr I've said it before and I'll say it again, Mbappe is overrated. Not saying he isn't a very good player, but people talk about him like he is one of the best of the past 20 years. His pace is better than his finishing.
June 17, 20242 yr I know that France are head and shoulders better than Austria but i do like the look of Baumgartner. Left sided midfielder for his country. AM for Leipzig. Decent player Edited June 17, 20242 yr by WhiteWall

June 17, 20242 yr Kante is still class. Shame his body can't handle Premier League football anymore. Seems to be a case with a lot of footballers though, makes you wonder if the physical requirements for Premier League football is too much these days. Edited June 17, 20242 yr by Scott Harris
