June 27, 20242 yr England have been handed the easiest draw I can imagine right up to the final. Ridiculous.

Kinda feel bad for Ukraine being better (at least in points) than many 3rd places but still missing out on qualifying for the knockout Ah I see. Not a fan of that format, seems cheap letting 3rd place sides through, takes away some of the competitive edge I would imagine.

Heard he's not back until Sunday which is game day so surely he won't start without having trained? We need a bit of Georgia's energy Sunday. Watched them last night and thought they were brilliant.

Watched them last night and thought they were brilliant. Yeah, I hope because he hasn't trained then he gets left out, but then again it's Southgate! So many ex players, media, pundits, etc. are saying they should start with Gordon on the left and Palmer on the right with mainoo partnering rice leaving saka off or at left back. If southgate blocks all the noise going into the camp then someone needs to slip him a note or something. Edited June 27, 20242 yr by Simplymo

If you go to the pub don't cheer if Slovakia score, heard a story on the old inter-city journeys where a chap had got Argentina in the work sweepstakes, it did not end well for him down the pub after cheering when they scored.

Or a goalless snore fest. Italy can't find the net, the Swiss still relying on Shaqiri. I think much will depend on Xhaka. He's had a couple of blinders. If he fires, Italy will struggle.

It turns out if you run tourney in December, player are fresher so you have more interesting game.
June 27, 20242 yr Looking forward to see how those French CBs deal with Lukaku can he knock them off balance or will their wrestling grips pin him down.

Has his entire youth career and first few years of senior football playing there and full of energy, while we have an abundance of talent that can play in attack. We've got Palmer off the back of a 30+ G/A season picking up 15 mins FFS, embarrassing

June 28, 20242 yr BBC reporting it now, Southgate needs to make a decision on either Bellingham or Foden, media see it as Lampard vs Gerard thing. Will Southgate have the balls to do it, it should be easy now with Foden back in the UK though still have doubts about Southgate's mental decision making.
