I fear it is what Lampard said about his generation, more interested in their clubs than country The coaching in England is abysmal for the most part and the FA always bring in the worst coach to coach our players. When did we last have a manager that wanted England to play positive, fast, football? A coach that encourages and demands them to express themselves. They always bring in a conservative coach.
June 25, 20242 yr Bellingham was playing on the left a lot today, 'the world's greatest midfielder' has a weaker left foot.
June 25, 20242 yr Bellingham and Kane were pathetic tonight, Palmer and Gordon actually provided a bit of threat but once again Divvy Southgate waits too long to change things. Prick.
June 25, 20242 yr Ian Wright and Roy Keane full of praise and excitement for what Palmer can do for England. Keane " I'm very excited by this boy, he can do everything"
June 25, 20242 yr Mainoo and Palmer have to start on Sunday. Possibly Gordon as well. Seen nothing out of Rice so far in this competition, has to be dropped.
June 25, 20242 yr No one who is a quality coach will ever take on the England job. No one. We're stuck with out of work English managers as a choice I reckon.

Not sure on Rice he holds down that defensive space in front of the back four, he does annoy at times, example 2nd half Saka gets the ball and marked straightway, Rice is free on the inside just needs to run forward for the square pass........no movement.

I'm pretty sure Kenneth Wolstanholme wasn't analysing the sh*t out of the world cup final in '66 They had an earlier black and white sequence of all the reporters around Alf Ramsey he looks up makes an excuse and smiles.

June 25, 20242 yr Southgate is the issue...really late with the subs, very stubborn and tactically inept. If southgate doesnt want to drop bellingham next to rice...then Palmer on the right, Gordon on the left, bellingham as a 10, rice and mainoo in the middle. Ffs, Southgate really gets on my fkn **** Edited June 25, 20242 yr by Simplymo

June 25, 20242 yr Watching the pundits go back and forth about what to do about the left back spot 🤦, surely Chilwell would have been worth putting on the plane! And if Shaw can't play, what is he doing there, aside from that we have 0 left back options. And what does everyone think of Wright's suggestion of playing Saka at left back 🤔

I haven't seen him play at left back before. I'm not paying attention to points but if Slovenia wanted just a draw then how did Southgate no consider the low block? Why would he use Gallagher if there's no need to control the midfield as they'll be playing in their half already. And watkins instead of kane. Needed someone on the shoulder of defenders not someone that runs back. I said this before, sry for repeating it... Southgate is a brilliant man manager, but he either needs to go/retire/bugger off or go for something a bit unorthodox, he needs a tactical coach, like a goalkeeping coach, to sort the lineup and tactics while he "manages" the coaches and players. June 25, 20242 yr The Euro 96 squad was a mature team……. I don’t know an England fan who hasn’t cried out for youngster's since ‘96 and that is what Southgate has done, and he has been our most successful manager since Ramsay. Not Southgate for me

Stand out game was thrashing Holland. Lost in the semi final to Germany, really unlucky not to beat them. German's were so confident of getting through the stages they had their training pitch laid out to the exact same dimensions as Wembley . I think they played Cezhcoslovakia ( f**king hard word to spell) in final.yeah, couldn't fault England's effort against that German team everyone knew we were so close ,

June 25, 20242 yr Well, who do we think will be the next manager? Not who you would want , but who will actually take on the job .. remember Sam Alladyce would have been the guy taking us through qualifiers and into those tournaments if he hadn't got sacked for non football related matters.
June 25, 20242 yr Standard performance by Palmer and look at the rest of England fans, they are salivating over him. Southgate need to f*ck off, the waistcoat wearing bellend.

At least we went for it.

June 25, 20242 yr I mean real the issue is that Southgate run out of ideas about 4 years ago. He had that waistcoat thing going on. All was well. Did he try anything else? A bow tie? Some flares? He should have gone with a bowler hat. But he just ran out of ideas.
