Let's see. One grandfather - whom I never knew - apparently went to matches of an Amsterdam football club that don't exist anymore, he would just support the Netherlands and no other country. His wife, my gran, wasn't interested in any sport I think.

My other grandfather was half Dutch, half German, Amsterdam born and raised. I don't think he cared about sports either. But my other gran, German-born but naturalised Dutch after marrying my grandfather, was into football. She loathed Cruijff :laugh2: Despite her origins I think she would have supported Spain tonight, on the basis that she'd never been to Spain. She had always wanted to visit Cuba and "therefore" supported anything Cuban, except Fidel Castro   @Boyne would have loved her, she drank whiskey daily.

@just great question, I think we should all come clean about our grandparents!  What about yours?

@ValerieYou Gran sounds like a great person. Can't beat drinking whisky on a daily basis. The finest drink in the world. I like that whisky translates as the water of life. Most appropriate.

My paternal grand-parents were Scottish and both liked whisky especially my Papa. As for my maternal grand-parents I never knew my Mum's Dad. He passed away 12 years before I was born. As for my Nan, she liked stout and advocaat. Not together I hasten to add. Years ago I went out with a girl who drank Malibu and pineapple. Another girlfriend could knock back the wine.

Did you see that! I am creased up laughing at Cucurella's defending. He just follows the ball everywhere. He should have been a dog! Half man, half Poodle. Fetch boy, fetch.

Müller has been on the pitch for about 25 minutes and already needs the physio :laugh2:

Be fair Val. He is 107 next birthday.

So am I, and no physio is massaging me!

What am I doing wrong...

We could get the Chelsea physios to look at you Val. But then you would probably be out for a year and have to have an appendage amputated.

We are due to leave the UK on August 9th to live in Spain permanently. Wish we were out there right now. Would have been in a local Spanish bar 30 yards from the sea. Bet they are having a great time right now.

We'll stay in the rain, no worries.
