And Messi is still winning and that could be his  major problem in order to not give up!!  He just want to prove it that he can do to what Messi can do !

When you watch messi for Argentina, he still looks good. Ronaldo on the other hand.

Totally , In fact I think a team around Messi  is mediocre as compared to talent out there in Portugal team around Ronaldo. IMO its all about who is humble vs who is selfish/arrogant !!! Also who is coaching matters a lot !! Scaloni is pretty down to earth but intelligent manager on international level !!

dont get me wrong ,I used to hate both of them being Chelsea fan . More when CR7 was at  Manu and when Messi was at Barcelona. We always had unfavorable decisions against them (team) was the reason . But then over the period you got to move on and see who is what and who is where.  Messi  turned out to be the best so  far !!

If I was Ronaldo I'd retire on my private island, yacht moored at the end of jettie. Speed boat, smaller yacht, sea plane, etc all moored and ready for small trips into town. And just live/love life on the beach sipping cocktails.

*if he can afford to buy his agent an island, he can do like the virgin guy, and even go a step further than him and be his own "mayor".

Buy a slightly biggish size island, add dedicated undersea Internet connection, maybe even a small airfield too. His own mini village he can be mayor off. Hahaha

Oh no The island would probably be filled with statues of himself.  He’d probably be more interested in having his own tv channels one showing his highlights reel, one practicing his celebrations and another dedicating to posing in front of camera. Actually sounds like the set of a horror film.

It all sounds perfect for him and I'm sure he can definitely afford it and more.

I recall an estate was up for sale recently somewhere in the UK, that included a small village...it was cheaper than the 7mil island he bought for his agent.

Ronaldo has never endeared himself to the football public the way Messi has. He looks what he is- a preening ego nut prick. Many years back Zola was asked who was the better player. Zola replied “ They score the same amount of goals but Messi also provides goals for others”

Last World Cup I was working and living in Jersey. Thousands of Madeirans out there- bit of history to this odd quirk, won’t explain now…cut a long story they didn’t think Ronaldo warranted a place in the team 18 months ago. Even though his main residence is still Madeira and apparently gives a lot back to the local community the general consensus amongst them was that he was a bit of a  w**ker

I know of an unpatriotic gambler, who used to bet on England’s opponents winning, whose logic was if we win, great stuff, if we lose I’m crying all the way to the bank.

Apparently we were favourites coming into the tournament- would we have been favourites if you’d had placed that bet in Spain, Portugal, or Germany would we had been favourites there?
