July 1, 20242 yr I think criticism of Southgate is very easy, looks like Tripper might be injured and Guehi is banned (I wonder if they are contesting that as it seems harsh) .... do you match the Swiss with a 3 5 2 say? Who do you start? I bet I could get 20 different answers on here. Where as Southgate is the man who has to earn his money and pick the team...... fair play to him, that's what is the big bucks is about.
July 1, 20242 yr Could the worst team in the tournament actually win it? Could it be that as a nation we have forgotten what wining a tournament looks like? Excuse me while I take cover.
July 1, 20242 yr Just seen Bellingham saying it was ‘nice to give a bit back’ with his goal celebration. Mate, you’ve all been f**king dog sh*t for four games and you score a goal with the first shot on target after 96 minutes so now you’re peak cocaine football Maradonna? f**k off.

It was a yellow, his second in the comp. No means of appeal.

He had been touted as mature for his years. Physically perhaps. Some of his tantrums and behaviour suggest otherwise.

Bellingham is becoming very unlikeable. It's all gone to his head. I saw Aluko defend him on ITV and say top players need that arrogance, and she used Ronaldo as an example. You don't need to be an unlikeable d**khead to become a good player.

Most unlikeable player in the Euros

My objection to Saka being at left back isn't that it weakens the attack, it's that it greatly weakens the defence. He's not played there for 4 years, we have no idea how good he is defensively in that position. He isn't even the type to run down the wing and get crosses in, he also likes to cut in. Only way it would work is if he pretty much just stayed up top and you had Walker tuck in to form a 3atb but that's just needlessly complex when you can do the same thing with Gomez and an actual fullback in Trent. Saka moved further back worked quite well x

I'm currently watching Lukaku being useless, so we can't even say that it helps
July 1, 20242 yr One thing for England to cling on to, France look a bit sh*t too. Edited July 1, 20242 yr by Scott Harris

We all laughed at Arsenal's wild celebrations after winning the Charity Shield, last night's England celebrations were embarrassingly worse

Blues supporters situated in a corner of Emirates Stadium, who continued to sing his name long after the final whistle. Lukaku responded by waving and applauding before patting the badge on his shirt. "I think it has been a brilliant debut from Lukaku," said BBC Radio 5 Live pundit Clinton Morrison. "He went away and improved his game. He knew what he had to work on.

The reason I can't generally get passionate about England is that I can't overlook those players I dislike. Saka and Kane, Sterling in the past going back to Martin Chivers, Emlyn Hughes, Keegan, and loads more. Bellingham has just become another one
July 1, 20242 yr I think Lukaku only had one shot and can't remember him winning any headers. When he is being marked he does not move meaning they won't pass to him and when he gets the ball to play on he plays it to where they were not where they moved to. Ok he might be decent when the ball is played into his run yet against France not likely to happen. A tight match yet France look very strong. A shame for KDB probably his last tournament.
July 1, 20242 yr Loving that. Oblak a stunning goalkeeper and Ronaldo in tears. Football is the gift that keeps giving
