Disagree, we literally got Paramount to sponsor us, that's as big as sponsors go considering they're a film studio, probably one of our biggest shirt sponsors since Samsunf, it's not our fault the Premier League got threatened by business competition.

General release for retailers is tomorrow. Not gonna be too impressed if I walk by a JD Sport and it’s fully stocked ready to go. 🤔 

If they hit the shops without a sponsor in place, surely no sponsor is going to bother paying us much at that point

Yea didn't think of that! 100's of thousands of shirts, not advertising a new sponsor out there!

They either don't put them to retail and wait for some tin-pot company to step in, or put them to retail and go sponsorless for a season.... but this is Chelsea, it won't work that way!

Isn't that down to the board not doing the due diligence before going ahead with a potential deal though? and leaving it so late too?

There is that. It's abundantly clear in the deed of licence that sponsorship can't compromise PL contractual relations.

PL have already cut the deal by a fifth. Will see of they cut it more, maybe to the "fair market value" of 20mill Allainz offered.

We fell foul of Premiership Rules, no one threatened anything, they didn't need to ,  bit amateurish on our part though,  there was no way we could expect the PL to let us circumvent their own regulations.
