Spurs are a point behind them now.

Pool will win tomorrow as Newcastle are physically spent, if they were not and Pool did not win 1st to 5th would be covered by just a couple of points.

As long as Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Utd , etc etc don't win the title I'm happy

Never a penalty in a month of Sunday's - And Klopps reaction all throughout this game has been appalling.    Newcastle though have been extremely poor TBH with Livramento having a mare of a game really and Liverpool should have been out of sight by H/T

How can Liverpool play with that energy the whole game , it's incredible

The running gag is that Liverpool players all have asthma. Even new signings, they are told they’ve had asthma all this time.

How on earth is that a penalty? It takes me back to the push on Sterling vs Brentford. Awful by VAR

I have never seen a club in all the years I have been watching football getting so much empathy, sympathy for all the supposed misgivings the world of football has bestowed upon them over the years as Liverpool. Commentators are biased, media in general and the refs over the years have all be extremely generous...today with both penalties is yet another example, especially this one.  Jota should have been booked for a blatant dive that Tom Daley would have been proud off, Jota and Diaz make a right pair.

I know mate but we can complain all we like about Klopp and dodgy penalties but to be fair they're a very good side, the pace and energy is relentless. They're still at it at 4-1 up FFS

Bastards !

It’s awful - such a bad decision by the referee and then VAR. I hope Howe says something after - pathetic decisions really.

Still, it fits the agenda. Camera showed Klopp every 3-5 mins. I only recall seeing Howe come the 91st minute.

Must be something in the water...as much as I hate them as a club, I agree.  I think it's what's instilled in them by their managers, hard work, relentless in everything they do and a belief that they will win despite the opposition, but defensively I still think they are weak despite the GA being one of the best in the league...we on the other hand don't have that, although we used to years ago.   I think if they don't suffer any injuries they should go on to win the league this year.

Maybe.

But they aren't where they are on sympathy alone...that's a very good football team. That's the sort of football I'd like to watch at the Bridge

And you can hear how much that commentator wanted Liverpool to win from the start... appalling bias really.
