I hate Liverpool too but I recognise them as winners and begrudgingly respect what they've done with Klopp over the last 5 or so years. Arsenal however just piss me off. They've had one good season in a decade and think they're the dog's bollocks. Glad they're out.

The most criminal thing about it is that Trossard, Nkehtia, and Balogun are being forced out for him.

To think many people thought Arteta was some kind of revolutionary with his Havertz in midfield approach. One of the most daftest managerial decisions ever.

Havertz was playing striker today, not that it helped.

Arsenal are overhyped imo.  Great young team, and no denying Saliba, Rice, Odegard and Saka are brilliant players.  But they went through a real purple patch last season for 7 months and everyone still lives off that.  Cut through the stats:

- Aug2022 to Jan2023: P19, W16, D2, L1.  First in PL form table, 5 points ahead of City, and 11 ahead of 3rd place
- Feb2023 to Jan2024: P39, W22, D8, L9.  Fourth in PL form table, 10 points behind City, 9 behind Liverpool and 1 behind Villa

Unless something changes with a real striker, better midfield balance, and a real left back, I think a lot will have to go their way to win the league.

Good to see Liverpool beat Arsenal. More humble pie for Arsenal fan and also ensures on the last weekend of January, Liverpool have a fixture just before we play them in the week in the league. So no more additional rest for them than us.

Arteta defo needs to try something else. Saka is a top player but defenders are reading him a lot more and his game is much more predictable. Martinelli too whose been below par this season.

Depends who they draw. If they maidstone then they send the reserves.

They had one good 7 month period, half the length of time of their current “wobble”.

100%.

I hate Liverpool but I wanted them to win because Arsenal are just unbearable at the moment for me.

Arteta's always moaning, always out of his area, the fans have come out the woodwork.

And the funny thing is that they are dining out on all this media praise they get, but as far as I can remember they lead the Premier League table with a month of the season to go by a few points, then bottled it completely and ended up with nothing.

This is kind of my take. On one hand I find arsenal imploding hilarious. On the other, I can’t believe there is a more sponny side in history than Liverpool. It’s so annoying how many games they get away with.

probably one arm up ..near post..2 arms up far post...but different teams have different meanings / signals to the men in the box.

"Lads, this one's not going to clear the first man ... and the next one we'll take it short and play it back to our keeper !"

Pretty please for a Lukaku and Cucurella double swoop in this transfer window 🙂

What did WE see in him ?

I'm sure in a year or two, another manager will see something in Havertz most of us couldn't 😎Funny thing is even Havertz doesn't know where he should play, so what hope does the managers have. He could have a couple of good games, fans thought here we go, then he reverted back to a championship level player.

He’s the same player that arrived in England 4 years ago. 4 different coaching staff and 2 different clubs.

This is on him. He’s made no desire to improve the hindering weaknesses in his game. Bloke won the champions league and said “I’m good enough”.

My pet hate is everyone " playing out from the back" when they clearly can't do it , and giving goals away every week.

Hopefully it's another fad , like the old "sweeper" tactic which eventually died a death.

Give me the old 4-4-2 any day !

Can't agree more. This is by far my biggest annoyance.

"Principle" manager is an absolute bollocks. This kind of manager usually do this for their cv not for the team. They don't want to be branded as "dinosaur" manager, so they insist on playing tippy tappy ball.

Crazy thing is he is their highest paid player. Like how? Good luck getting rid of him.

Thought that was agent Jorginho for a second

Hard to imagine him winning a header.

Thoroughly enjoyed that game, hilarious bottling from Arsenal. Three defeats on the bounce now, glad to see normal service has been resumed.

I don't know about you lot and it might sound crazy but for me, the Scousers became more bearable since they won the league. And I hate Liverpool and their fans with a passion, but Arsenal have quickly overtaken them in recent years. Out of the two teams? Yeah, I want Arsenal to lose for sure.

You have to have some respect for Klopp he brings on three unknowns at 0-0 in Clarke, Bradley and Gravenberch.

Arsenal still in the CL and League so have plenty to play for.

Kind of thinking yesterday they needed a poacher type of forward to come off the bench suddenly reminded of Shinji Ozakaki  who was good for Leicester the year they won the League when Vardy was not enough.

Villa in the next round of the FA Cup. Draw has not been kind to us.

Last round it was and tbh in the Carabao Cup, we have had quite a favourable route tbh. At least we haven't got City.

Nice draw for them. Not Maidstone but one they should win comfortably.
