The rumour is Poch wants a left back but I think we need a right back more urgently. Colwill at left back is bad enough but Cucu or Disasi at right back is untenable.

My view is that Reece James is probably a write off.

Gusto is not much better having missed heaps of last season and this season.

Therefore I think outside of a striker a good right back should be a priority.

Unfortunately we let Livramento go. Shame because he has looked the goods.

When I ran some screens a name that popped up is Nahuel Molina of Atletico. Certainly wouldn't be cheap but seems just about the right age. He was due to sign a new long term deal but not sure if he did. But anyway it's just one name. Wondering who else might fit the bill?

Or we ask our young players to step up. Would be nice for Pochettino to give Maatsen a run at LB. Failing that recall Humphreys, he has been playing on the left for Swansea. On the right what about Alfie Gilchrist?

I was calling for Cancelo in the summer but that boat has sailed. Trippier and Cash wouldn't take a step down to us now.

The other one that i liked but may be too late for is Frimpong from Leverkusen.

Take any kid from Man City if possible. Their scouting is one of the best out there.

It's about him holding off signing a contract extension. Current contract expires summer 2025. If he re-signs, fine. If not, they won't let the contract run down. He's 27 and they would want around £35m for him.

Obviously if we were interested it would be £135 million.

Hall is hardly playing for newcastle. Id offer him a route back and overlook their obligation to buy if they were happy to do so as his opportunities suggest. Rb, agreed reece is a write off, cash in and get frimpong.

Given Marc's injury I bet Poch would love us to sign up Dan Burn.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Real, and even City will all be in for him I imagine so our chances are slim.

I'm sure Clearlake are already on the case if he's been identified by our football directors as a player we should be interested in.

Idk but if we let a few players leave on loan we will probably need to sign 4 or 5 more players to keep our squad at the optimal size of 40 🥴🥴
