We should try to get him.  Arsenal are also after him apparently.  PSG want him too and they will be offering the money and the Champions League. But Julian is mates with Enzo the younger so who knows.

Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres looks set to join Arsenal.  So Alvarez's new club is probably between us and PSG.  Alvarez is at the COPA at the moment, he just scored in the semi-final.  Alvarez is maybe the type of striker that Enzo the Elder would like? He is also good mates with Enzo the younger.

I wonder how much we can over pay for Alvarez?  Nkunku would most likely move on IF Alvarez arrived.

Whats so good about Alvarez?  He is 24.  5ft 7".  so he is a bit old and short for us. . .20 goals in 67 appearances for Citeh.

Can’t see this one happening, & considering he is managed by Henry at the u21s he will be telling him to either go to Arsenal or Bayern. He will use Lesley Ugochukwu as an example of the mess of a club we are at present.

Not in his best interest to come here, expected the club to have taken a hit on Sterling early on in the window & get him off our books. 14 goals & 7 assists in 2 seasons is very poor for a player of his reputation and the wages he is on. This window is probably the last one we could have gotten something for him, by Jan he will be 30yrs and harder to move on as I expect him to have another average season.

Thinking about who I'd like to sign for us off the back of the Euros campaigns, and I can come up with Giorgi Mamardashvili and Nico Williams as the two that caught the eye and would improve us immediately, both off the back of strong seasons at club level as well.

From the very little I’ve seen of Tel in the champions league mainly as an impact sub he looked pretty good.  
 

I say sign him up.  Once Boehly and Co convince the league to change to 15 aside, 25 interchanges and helmets we’ll be rocking.

I have a very strong desire to say "el Tel to Chelsea" and i am not sure why .  . . i am not sure we need to change the numbers of soccer players on the grid iron turf.  Keep 11 soccerists on the turf, But endless substitutions would be best. Just keep rotating those players ON and OFF. Everybody should be allowed to participate after all. Helmets should be more like the Petr Cech helmets and compulsory for all players and maybe include some NASCAR like advertising on the sides of the soccer safety hats? So many head injuries these days.  We need a lot more Statistics and so the pitch marked in a grid iron fashion would be best and we could tell which "D" makes the most advances into the opposition zones. We can introduce the "hockey assist" to soccer punditry and stats maybe?  Stripey uniforms for the refs is essential. Maybe we need some more refs too?  High scoring would be better - can we make the goals bigger?  With bigger goal frames there would be more goals in the hot box areas. Maybe get an extra point if you score from outside of the hot box area?

Call me crazy but I feel we have a lot of in house cleaning up to do before we make any more signings.
