July 22, 20241 yr The fact PSG are willing to get rid of Ugarte, Muani, and Ramos after spending big on them just 1-2 seasons ago is very, very alarming.
July 28, 20241 yr Arsenal have joined Chelsea and Atletico Madrid in the race to sign Julian Alvarez. Julian is Best mates with Enzo the younger. Julian joined Citeh for £14 million in July 2020, --- 36 goals and 18 assists in 103 games. £60 million is the price apparently. The Enzo connection makes me think that this might be a possibility. Not sure where it leaves Nkunku – who is maybe the better player in some ways. We haven’t really seen enough of Nkunku at this point to know. Alvarez is technically very good and he gets a lot of praise from the coaching world, but imho he lacks an instinct to be the no.1 striker and he may well be better suited to playing in Spain and La Liga. He is short - 5ft 7". Yeah, Atletico Madrid would be his best option - maybe him and Enzo could be reunited there?

I will admit I haven't seen alvarez play much. But I currently like our Cf's in Jackson and guiu. Also after the last 2 pre-season games I think there's more important areas to address, let alone tactics atm which need a lot of work. Can alvarez improve the team? Can he play in a different position instead of up top?
July 28, 20241 yr Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani, has been offering the Italian international to clubs in the Premier League and now Chelsea are in talks apparently. Juventus bought Chiesa from Fiorentina for £54m two years ago but Chelsea should be able to sign him for ‘much cheaper.’ Chiesa has one year left on his contract. Juventus could let him leave for as little as £20m and the blue.co.club see him as a Sterling upgrade – plus he only wants 130k a week as opposed to the ridiculous money Raheem is on.

He's 26 yrs old. Again, I don't know and haven't seen the guy play enough to be excited or not for this rumour, but surely he's too old for them?

Can't say i watch loads of Serie A football, but hasn't he had a huge drop off recently and constantly injured? Always cautious to sign players from that league also, lets not forget Pulisic shone last season and we all know how crap he was in a proper league.

Better than Pulisic by a long way. His absence goes a long way towards explaining Italy's impotence up front. The poor guy has been blighted by knee and leg muscle injuries. Missed 27 games over the past two seasons, 84 games in total over the past three seasons. Just not worth the risk sadly.

I'd still take Chiesa for half a season over Sterling/Mudryk combined and fully fit and always available. Edited July 29, 20241 yr by abramovich
July 30, 20241 yr Maximilian Beier to Chelsea? Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier [21] has a release clause of just €30m (£25.2m). He has been described as a "Haaland clone". Poacher/striker with the ability to score goals with German efficiency.

August 12, 20241 yr do we need a thread about selling players? [Fabrizio Romano] Strasbourg have completed deal to sign Diego Moreira from Chelsea on a permanent move. It will be permanent rather than loan. Moreira signs five year deal, seen as winger perfect fit for Liam Rosenior’s system at Strasbourg. I wonder what the fee was? although it is blue.co to blue.co. . .so it doesnt really matter.

Who is Diego Moreira again? Last year's new Neymar without a work permit?
August 12, 20241 yr Diego Moreira played in a cup game I think and made 6 appearances for Chelsea PL II squad.

Probably next to nothing but with a sell on clause since he came on a free.
