He clearly wanted a decent replacement for Colwill and didn't get one, and he wanted a replacement when Jackson left too. His comments at the time about being happy with the squad were clearly to placate the board, but the truth seems to be that he wasn't happy with the squad and that has started to unravel.Regardless his position at the club now looks unretrievable. As others have pointed out this reflects terribly on the board with a second manager in a row choosing to leave over differences. When you consider that several candidates turned down the job last time around due to the conditions of the deal (working with SD's etc) it makes you wonder who will be willing to take the job now? It’s a very unfortunate situation. Only low level managers like Maresca who are looking to make a name for themselves are going to come to the club now because of the sh*tty environment. It’s no surprise Enrique wanted demands when he was linked and they didn’t go with him.

January 1Jan 1 Author They are going to appoint Rosenoir according to the Guardian. Yeah think i'm officially clocking out this season.
January 1Jan 1 Rosenior makes no sense, all they are going to do is alienate the Strasbourg fans even further.I hope Maresca is leaving, I can't stand the guy with his style of turgid football, awful tactics and subs.
January 1Jan 1 Surely it won't be Rosenior, pissing off the Chelsea fanbase with a sh*t appointment and pissing off the Strasbourg fanbase in one move would be a pretty spectacular case study on what not to do.

January 1Jan 1 Not sure I even care much who they bring in.Eghbali is just a total c**t in my book, and unfortunately he will still be here.It will be a good day indeed when he f**ks off for good.
January 1Jan 1 Could all be paper talk ?No 💨 without 🔥 💭 dry ice !Resonoir fits their profile unfortunately.
January 1Jan 1 They're about to get clowned on for years if the next post announces Maresca has been sacked.
January 1Jan 1 Well, all the big betting sites are now no longer even showing the next PL manager sack odds, so I guess it is all suspended, pending announcement

While it would no doubt be easier to manage the paperwork given that they also own Strasbourg, I think it would be a total disaster bringing somebody with such little experience to take over at this stage of the season. Shades of Lamps coming in after Potter. We could go into total freefall.Unless we make an inspired managerial appointment, which seems highly unlikely, at this stage the season is likely a writeoff and goodness knows where that leaves us as a club.

We are completely done as a top football club until these clowns leave.
January 1Jan 1 What a total sh*tshow this football club has become.Maresca was the never right fit for us in my opinion, but we have some serious structural problems with our owners and SDs.

Rosenior has done a pretty decent job at Strasbourg the last year and a half but it is a huge step up to manage Chelsea. The current team is in desperate need of some experienced management, given we have such a young squad. Combining a young squad with a young, inexperienced manager feels like a recipe for disaster.
January 1Jan 1 Well I guess Eghbali will be looking for a manager of similar calibre to his "talented" directors ... so we'll probably end up with Russell bloody Martin LOL
