That would be crazy. We have too much to play for to throw away the entire season like that. It wouldn't surprise me if they do that though.

Yeah unfortunately this board is crazy so expect the unexpected

I think it was accepting the results of the last transfer window that ultimately led him to where he is now. He clearly wanted a decent replacement for Colwill and didn't get one, and he wanted a replacement when Jackson left too. His comments at the time about being happy with the squad were clearly to placate the board, but the truth seems to be that he wasn't happy with the squad and that has started to unravel.

Regardless his position at the club now looks unretrievable. As others have pointed out this reflects terribly on the board with a second manager in a row choosing to leave over differences. When you consider that several candidates turned down the job last time around due to the conditions of the deal (working with SD's etc) it makes you wonder who will be willing to take the job now?

It’s a very unfortunate situation. Only low level managers like Maresca who are looking to make a name for themselves are going to come to the club now because of the sh*tty environment. It’s no surprise Enrique wanted demands when he was linked and they didn’t go with him.

Rosenior makes no sense, all they are going to do is alienate the Strasbourg fans even further.

I hope Maresca is leaving, I can't stand the guy with his style of turgid football, awful tactics and subs.

Yeah think i'm officially clocking out this season.

I read the Guardian article and they are just speculating that he is one option who is highly regarded and has been viewed as a possible future Chelsea manager. While it would no doubt be easier to manage the paperwork given that they also own Strasbourg, I think it would be a total disaster bringing somebody with such little experience to take over at this stage of the season. Shades of Lamps coming in after Potter. We could go into total freefall.

Unless we make an inspired managerial appointment, which seems highly unlikely, at this stage the season is likely a writeoff and goodness knows where that leaves us as a club.

Talksport today mentioned that pretty much everyone knows who they are going to appoint and it’s Rosenoir.

We are completely done as a top football club until these clowns leave.

Agreed. Rosenior has done a pretty decent job at Strasbourg the last year and a half but it is a huge step up to manage Chelsea. The current team is in desperate need of some experienced management, given we have such a young squad. Combining a young squad with a young, inexperienced manager feels like a recipe for disaster.
