Double fracture. Compound fracture & he’s been on a ventilator most of the afternoon. He’s come round within the last 2hrs which is why the statement has come out but it’s still “a very bad situation” & “he may never play again”. Depending on the seriousness of the next 48hrs & levels of fracture once stabilised.

Did not think United would have a one for one replacement for Lingard, but they did it with Mount. Hats off to them. Hopefully Mount feels like home there, just as his father said during his presentation day.
