The penalty that got him sacked was a complete joke. Both players seemed to kick each other (very gently) simultaneously, so how they decided de Ligt was at fault is a bit of a mystery. Probably a ManU fan on VAR (they often are) who wanted Ten Hag gone.

Michael Oliver, and United fans dislike him as much as we dislike Taylor.

United's problems run deeper than just the manager. Sacking Ten Hag won't really make a huge difference IMHO.

As much as United fans want to believe, some of their so called "world class" players are actually not that good. It is a squad filled with lots of average players that would need a really good, revolutionary coach to improve them and the manager pool in that matter is limited. To be fair it's almost November and I can't see someone like Amorim or Inzaghi, for example, leave their clubs mid season and join the sh*t show that United is.

I feel they are going to try to sign Xavi, hoping he'd bring something different, although Xavi was not able to do that at Barcelona with players actually used to that style of football.

It would have been incredibly funny to get Southgate in, but I think they fear a massive backlash from their fans. Don't think they'd have sacked Ten Hag if it wasn't for the social media and all the fan's reactions over there in the last couple of weeks. Signing Southgate would provoke and even bigger negative reaction. Which is a shame, that clown Southgate would have been perfect for them. Graham Potter still available, hopefully they make a move on him. Or someone like Allegri who would suck the last glimmer of hope with his style of play.

This is funny. The guy that had a hand in the extension of the world cup and backed FIFA's plans for the Club World Cup is now head of player welfare.

Standard practice for a dodgy organisation. Say you're going to address a big issue, then put someone in charge who you'll know will never demand you do anything you weren't already going to do.

What's funny is that United actually showed signs of improvement against West Ham and should've won that game like 4-1.

First half, sure, but the Hammers were worse than diabolical in the first half. Better in the second half without being great and MU struggled.

Real Madrid have shown their lack of class with their behaviour towards the Ballon d'Or. Skipping the event because their players didn't win and putting out statements like they are entitled. The biggest football club in the world are the absolute worst representation of it.

United in talks with Sporting over compensation for Ruben Amorim. Media reporting he has agreed to join United, could happen quickly if compensation can be agreed.

Likely would not be in place for our game vs them, but could be agreed and would give the players a kick up the bum and the fans a lift.

Lovely.

No chance he takes charge of the game this weekend, but they will have a lift anyway as do the crowd. We need to kill the atmosphere by scoring early.

I reckon ETH has been a dead duck as far as Ineos has been concerned for a while, but they did not want to sack him till they had Amorims agreement.

They have now been given the terms of what is needed exactly to trigger his release clause, and are set to meet it. He likely will be officially Uniteds manager before our game, though probably won't manage it officially.

Sky Sports are reporting the deal for Amorim is almost fully agreed and he will be taking charge of Uniteds game vs us. Lmao.

Why would they do that when they could wait until after our fixture, and then bring him in for two successive "easy" home games against PAOK and Leicester to make it more likely that he gets off to a winning start ?

With our record at OT they are likely confident he will. Plus beating Chelsea on his debut with little time to work would set him up brilliantly.
