Since 1982-83 I’ve only ever hoped we’d never see another season like that. Haven’t been disappointed in 41 years! 

We could easily finish third, possibly eighth , likely tenth. To be honest who knows, we sign players who don’t improve us, in positions we’re actually quite strong.  We appear to have no cohesive strategy building a squad other than the data is good on a.n other player… so who knows champions?

As I see this, Confernece League is a must win for us.

To see a good football, creating chances, scoring goals and actually be a threat to every team.. 

Build a character, get  the best out of the players. Once we will see things like this happen this season, next season we can talk about more trophies.

There is no realistic chance of finishing higher than fourth, but if the squad is trimmed to a manageable level it shouldn't be finishing lower than seventh.

Anything less than 5th is failure. 

Poch had us 6th and that quite easily could have been 4th. 

We've since got everyone back from injury. Lavia, Nkunku, Fofana are all new signings. We've added Neto who is a huge upgrade on the left, Madueke has started to improve, Palmer is off the back of an elite season. 

Only piece of the puzzle is a recognised number 9, but if Poch can manage 6th with Jackson for a full season we should still be able to claim top 4 with the above points. 

 

Oh lets not forget that lots of you said our defensive issues were because Silva couldn't defend in a modern high line and our attacking issues were because Gallagher couldn't kick a ball straight. Wonder what the excuse will be this time around.

What I expect to happen, and my expectations are 2 very different things ;). I expect something similar to what you predicted. Most likely a slow start with a new manager and the challenges over the massive squad. But hopefully progress over the season and a strong finish. I think if we can navigate the early stages of the Europa Conference League, then it will offer us the best chance of winning a trophy.

My expectations are simpler though. I just want to see some entertaining football. While it was a rollercoaster ride last season, there were some memorable games across the season. Notably the 4-4 against City, the home wins against Man United, Newcastle, Everton, and West Ham spring to mind. With the abundance of creative attacking players in our squad I am hope we will see some good football once things settle. Will likely be another rollercoaster though.

I have no idea if we will finish 4th or 14th.  Just gonna buckle up and enjoy the ride.  Every dog has its day...

Honestly been dreading this season . The recruitment has been awful and im not keen on Maresca. Watched Leicester a few times  last season didn’t enjoy the football. So I’m going for 7th. And hopefully the next to are our sporting directors there the ones who gave f**ked us 

I really hope we take the Europa Conference League seriously.  It would be nice to have the full set.
