April 3, 20251 yr I doubt we’ll get CL so I’d rather Sesko. 3rd season in a row he’s hit 18 goals and he’s only 21. Polar opposite of Jackson in terms of what they offer as a forward.
April 3, 20251 yr Osimhen still being mentioned in 2025 FFS he's missed more big chances than he has open play goals playing against part time kebab shop owners

Not in England though. Watch Ipswich go down and still hold out for a fortune for Delap. The pool market for strikers is as poor as it has ever been in the history of this sport so there is not a lot to choose from to be fair. Of course we now should not have been worried about a new one as we should have gotten Osimhen last summer. I still think he should be the #1 option, but it all depends on how we finish the season. If we get UCL football then maybe an Osimhen or Gyokeres is on the cards. If not it's either Delap or Lille's David on a free.I thought his release clause was £40 million and City could re sign him for £22 million.
April 3, 20251 yr Prior to Pepball many teams played 2 up front. Very few play two strikers these days. Less number 9’s around and even less can play the variations of Pepball that many clubs play.Thankfully the age of Pep is coming to an end.

April 9, 20251 yr Don’t think he is good enough for us but a £30m release clause is not a bad gamble in this market.
April 9, 20251 yr The Grundian reporting that the Delap release clause (currently at 40 million quid) falls to 30 million when/if Ipswich are relegated. Man Utd and Chelsea are interested in the Lad. De Lad. Delap. I think we shall need to look at all our options in the summer. But if there is no exceptional no.9 option out there and Brighton are unwilling to sell us a forward for 150 million quid, then 30 for Delpa might be an option imho.

April 9, 20251 yr Most of the players mentioned are already outside our basic wage structure. Neither of the Victors are signing for £100 grand a week. Sesko will be offered more by other clubs.Delap is the one we’ll sign as Utd will go for a bigger name. I rate him pretty highly but I still think we need a Giroud type. A seasoned pro.

Even better if it stops us wasting money on Osimhen too. Maresca seems stuck in his ways and Delap is a similar profile to Jackson too so worse case scenario we have a relatively cheap alternative to Jackson.
April 23, 20251 yr I’m still on the Delap hype train, exactly what we need. He’s similar to Jackson albeit he has a functioning brain and some basic footballing ability. We’ve all seen how much better Palmer was at the start of the season when Jackson was mimicking a footballer. If Delap can do that, to a higher level, it unlocks Palmer, making us a better overall side. Positive as well if it stops us wasting money/time on Osimhen who has busy written all over him. Plus with the extra saved pennies we can rival for Diogo Costa’s signature and maybe get a capable GK.

April 30, 20251 yr He's probably the best of a bad bunch of realistic choices. Fairly low cost with good upside potential. Clearlake's wet dream.
April 30, 20251 yr Latest player we are linked with his Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers [22]. A player who didn't make the cut at Man Citeh [like Liam Delap and Cole Palmer]. Liam Delap is 22. Cole Palmer is 22. I can see the idea here. These players may not have made it into the citeh team, but they have always been considered above average players and if we can buy them relatively cheaply . . . Are we thinking of Rogers as a striker? I mean if Rogers is good then surely Villa would want to keep him? Have these players played together before? Does Enzo Maresca have history of working with them? etc. etc.
