Pick between Veiga or Badiashile to replace Cucu, compensate by using Caicedo at RB as Gusto is hopeless going forward.

Sanchez

Caicedo

Colwill

Tosin

Veiga/Badiashile

Lavia

Enzo

Neto

Palmer

Sancho

Nkunku

Yeah think it’ll be something like this. Wouldn’t be surprised if it is Badiashile at LB. Veiga looked shaky against Spurs.

I am wondering about Tosin as the RCB though. Do we shift Colwill to the right perhaps? Or play Disasi.

Who is faster Disasi or Tosin?

Alright then, best option we have then.

Although what about Josh Acheampong? Could be his stage.

I doubt he will be thrown into this game. More likely he gets another start against Shamrock Rovers. Probably will be Veiga

Veigas height should help. However who do Everton have on the right side? Even Spurs right side made him look mug in 10 minutes.

I bet Sky and TNT are kicking themselves with their fixture picks, Chelsea could go top and be top on christmas day if we win and Liverpool fail to beat Spurs, how Sky decided they would rather have Fulham v Southampton beats me, i know they pick games in advance but they and TNT are so biased with certain teams it’s untrue.

30th Dec sky picked a middle of the table clash Man Utd v Newcastle, we are away at Ipswich

4th Jan another midtable clash Tottenham v Newcastle (TNT)     Brighton v Arsenal (sky) we are away at Palace

on the 14th it looks like TNT have managed to sneak an extra pick that wasnt on originally home to Bournemouth on TNT3

Everton away in December FFS.

Doesn't matter how awful they are they seem to turn up

Duncan Ferguson first game in charge beat us 3-1 in December.

12th December 20/21 they beat us 1-0 ending our 17 game unbeaten run ( in all competitions maybe?) But historically, looking back we seem to have a pretty decent record overall.

And Spurs were top at the end of November, so nothing like this season!!

Some strange picks there!

Dunno about this season, but games used to be bundled into packages, with Sky getting first picks etc . And then so on , Sky gets more picks from the A package 4,30 games than others.

I think there are limitations etc .

It's not for the benefit of match going fans that's for sure !

Will be a tough game. Is their last season at Goodison Park so every game is special for them.

One warrior is out (Cucurella). We have to match their fight and let our quality shine through.

Their center back Braithwaite is a good player. We will need Enzo, Sancho and Palmer to make use of the limited space we will get, and whoever of Neto or Madueke starts to take the chances that come their way.

Everton at Goodison Park always makes me nervous given our poor record there over the past decade.

  • 10/12/2023 = Everton 2-0 Chelsea
  • 6/08/2022 = Everton 0-1 Chelsea
  • 1/05/2022 = Everton 1-0 Chelsea
  • 12/12/2020 = Everton 1-0 Chelsea
  • 7/12/2019 = Everton 3-1 Chelsea
  • 17/03/2019 = Everton 2-0 Chelsea
  • 23/12/2017 = Everton 0-0 Chelsea
  • 30/04/2017 = Everton 0-3 Chelsea
  • 12/09/2015 = Everton 3-1 Chelsea

Hate playing at Goodison.

Yeah is another bogey ground. Like St. James Park and OT.

Will be nice that Everton move to a different stadium next season. Will be a hard battle to come out of this with 3 points.

Am curious to see how Maresca sets us up to cope without Cucurella.

His literally ends up everywhere on the pitch, helping the attack so much.

Veiga can come in but cannot play the same role.

Think we are going to miss him a lot for this game.

That f**king 12th Sept 2015 game where Naismith got a hattrick is still to this day my nightmare.

Another Bogey team like Brentford. Expect they will set up even more defensively. They didn’t even try to attack vs arsenal but we are guaranteed to give them a chance or two. Would be a big 3 points and I think we will just shade it.

Not really a bogey team, a bogey away trip.

At home we have an excellent record vs Everton, however at their place it is not the case.
