Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho is dead set on Chelsea, he doesn't fit Amorim's style and he's already called up to the Argentinian NT before.

An under 21yr old winger who's fast and willing to go up and down the length of the pitch has heavy upside, sorts out decisionmaking + finishing and you have a very good winger.

Do I like the signing? No but I do see the positives in this. If we buy him and he performs, good. If not, we'll sell him for 50M.

Can't Garnacho be dead set on joining someone else? Are we obligated to buy him now?

The player is fine. Probably has attitude problem but the quality is there. It comes down to his fee.

Not convinced he is. Any one who watches Utd’s games will tell you he doesn’t have a footballing brain. If fans thought Madueke was a nightmare, wait till you see Garnacho in Blue.

I also dont understand the clamouring for Chelsea when you look at the options we have in direct competition with him, you would think a player in his situation would be looking at clubs where he would be guaranteed a starting role. He might actually be the player where this whole “financial situation” starts backfiring. We will definitely be at a minimum doubling his Utd wages, and give him one of those 7yr deals. Just wait till he pulls a Sterling/Sancho on the club.

How much are these links from sources that think this transfer is a possibility or is it all just good rage clicks for the views?

Not seen this amount of joint anger since the Fat Spanish Waiter. Bet there’s more interaction on this rumour than Enzo or the mighty Mudryk even.

You can tell that to his brother. No we're not but if the directors want him, Todd's the only one who can stop them

A lot of people(me included) were angry at the Joao Pedro signing until he performed at the CWC.

Funny thing, the blueco shills like Alex Goldberg (American Chelsea twitter guy) who got invited to join the players after the Club World Cup, has rightfully been against Garnacho very publicly. So much so, that chronically online Garnacho blocked him. These guys, who have genuine links with the club, and more, are gonna be in a precarious situation if this goes through. Can already see it now “let’s give him a chance”, “he’s chels now” Yada yada yada… 🤦‍♂️

A nice-ish summer window turned to a nightmare, those laughs at Goooners for taking Madueke now totally redundant. UNO reverse.

Nah, that’s different. Pedro signing was just underwhelming to the casual. This is a high profile unnecessary mess, incomparable.

Garnacho is a famous bad apple, on and off the pitch.

He is 21, that is normal. The same with Madueke.

This is our model. We want to sign young talented player and develop them so you have to be patient.

I think both player are fine and shifting them after one year is fine. It comes down to their fee and salary demand.

As I said we need to look at this club as less of a football club, more like a financial institution.

Some of us have been saying this for two years. 50m quoted atm is rubbish as this guy is purely for flipping and it will take a lot of running down the amortisation before making a profit on him at this price.

Many doesn't like it but Garnacho fit Chelsea model. Young, good potential, acceptable salary. If it doesn't work out we can move him next season or the season after that for maybe small loses. If it works out you can keep him or sell him for profit.

It come down to his fee

I’m more than happy with the Garnacho links, hope it does go through albeit for the right price.

I believe he’s a better player than Gittens and is just in the most toxic club in world football.

Put him under Enzo’s wing and get him to distance from his brother and he’ll he just fine.

It's normal for average players. Most top players have already got that down by 21. Look at Hazard, Robben, Saka, or even Man Utds other winger Amad. It's fine if you want the next Aaron Lennon or another Madueke, but most of us want better.

Are you a new Chelsea supporter?

Chelsea have been signing the like of Garnacho since 3 seasons ago. This is the plan.

You don't get a Hazard or Bellingham if you pay low salary.

True but we can do better than Garnacho. I'd rather take Sancho back.

And how is 150k pw a low salary? (Why else do you think this deal is taking so long) Garnacho wanted to be the highest paid player at Napoli, after they had finished rolling around in hysterics, they went and won the league title without him. Even if he signs a deal at the level of the other ‘reported’ youngsters we already have, the bonuses are going to be astronomical, and worst of all, he’s a donkey that NEVER gets injured. Therefore, we get to deal with the consequences when his ego is ruminating on the bench; lovely stuff.

Bad enough when Maresca was inserting KDH here and there to get him his appearance bonuses (they share the same agent), we’re gonna have Garnacho coming on in minute 70, running around with his head down, shooting straight at the keeper, until either his contract runs down, or Saudi somehow convince him to end his fairytale career.

The club wanted Sancho too but Sancho wants 250k/wk wages. It's never gonna happen

Don’t like the player but Garnacho will only join the club on our terms. Fee and wage.

Fairly confident on that.

Funny thing is, when you get the fee down from 60 mill to 30, and the wage expectation down another 50%, at what point do you pause, and think, hang on, if United are this desperate to sell, what the hell are we doing here. 😅

I’ve coped he’s coming, but it’s a little easier to bear based on Simons arrival, Garnacho essentially just replacing Mudryk, and the fact we will likely get him for peanuts or a loan.
