August 26, 2025Aug 26 Yet another small, 9 stone weakling that would get bullied in our league. Looks like a similar stamp to Wirtz and Fernandez in the size and pace area. What is this club's aversion to Norther European, Teutonic men who are large, fit, strong and technically capable
August 26, 2025Aug 26 Obviously our first choice, they will say ‘he’s been on our radar for a while’.That’s the problem with radar….anything that moves is on it.
August 26, 2025Aug 26 The only players we should try to recruit from that barca team is Yamal or Pedri

Seems not well thought out.Less than a week out so you either lower the price or Leipzig have a player that doesn't wanna be there. Be interesting to see what happens, I suppose the plus for us is Simons is a bonus signing rather than a necessity so we're not desperate enough to just give them what they want. I hope we can get him though.

August 26, 2025Aug 26 Author We need designated La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 watchers. Know nothing about this lad.

Seems like a made up story, probably leaked by his agent to put some pressure on Flick and keep him in the starting line-up. There is a lot of competition for his position and Flick kept him on the bench at the week-end.
August 26, 2025Aug 26 If true, the writing is on the wall for Enzo Fernandez. Lopez has been a star for Barcelona, a bit like Fabian Ruiz he is a gifted attacking midfielder with a lot of energy and steel to his game.No way that Flick would want him gone but Barcelona have to sell.

I don’t see Simons as a bonus signing, he is more of a priority IMO than Garnacho is.

Looks far too weak imo.

August 27, 2025Aug 27 Author Didn't we do the same with Kudus? Spend a few weeks after agreeing personal terms and then ditched him for Palmer?Hopefully for Garnacho, the same happens like Tyler Adams.

Santos, Essugo, Estevao and before that Willian, Oscar etc, all seem to have good core strength and are/were not shy in the tackle. These European "slight" players appear to be nowhere near as strong and sturdy.
August 27, 2025Aug 27 I've been waiting for the Fermin Lopez thread to appear, now that it's here I have forgotten if I'm for or against. At least our fascination with all things BHA seems to be abating.
August 27, 2025Aug 27 The rumouring continues. . . Fermin Lopez doesn't get along with his teammate Gavi apparently. The cause of this issue is unknown, but it has been suggested that Gavi asked that Lopez be transfer listed. also: Chelsea have offered Lopez €15 million a year and at Barcelona he is currently on €6 million. Which is a big deal for any player. Other rumours on this say that Barcelona will only consider selling Fermín López to Chelsea if they receive at least €70 million (£60.5 million, $81.5 million) and if the player himself asks to make the move. Interesting days - Xavi simons? Garnacho? Lopez? Which one or all 3?
