Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

I didn't watch the game last night but I saw his post match interview and he's correct. Had he gave it a go and we got slaughtered on the counter, he would've still got criticism. Arsenal away from home in a tin pot cup. I would rather he learn in matches like this as opposed to games in bigger comps. The players are crap.

It was a poor performance attackingly, and when we needed to push for a goal the end we didn't manage to put any real pressure on. However, if we did the same thing against them we did in the first leg Rosenior would be lambasted for his tactical naivety. At least this time we contained them and we were in it until the very end. Boring to watch, indeed, but I'm not quite sure how Rosenior should have set us up to give us more of a chance. When you lose the first game at home to a better side there's really not than many options available to you

Arsenal don't regularly hammer teams and we were a goal down, we could have shown more urgency to grab a goal when we had the ball, but we didn't, at any stage. Even in the last 10 minutes, we still kept recycling possession. There was nothing different about Rosenior's tactics yesterday compared to the norm, it was more of the same slow recycled sh*t and inverted fullback nonsense. The way we played yesterday didn't have much to do with being worried about what Arsenal could do, it was just more of the same negative sh*te we have seen at the club for years now. It's very rare to see us play with any urgency, we don't force anything. We also didn't contain Arsenal, they let us play. They were the ones with a 1 goal lead, they didn't need to step up and we did nothing to make them feel uncomfortable.

If you had watched the game, you probably wouldn't have the same mindset.

People seem to think there are only two extremes, either play gung-ho or do what we did yesterday which was basically nothing at all. How about some intensity? some urgency to our game to force something to happen? Why does the ball always have to go backwards in advance positions? Why can't we at least try and play a ball through their defence when we have had the ball for a sustained period of time and moved into the final third of the pitch? Why does Gusto have to cowardly dive when he has already beaten the full back and has a chance to create something?

There was just no desire to make something happen last night. Cowardly, no real belief, just faking it by recycling possession over and over and over again.

The funny thing is that many on here were saying that they'd lose it if Rosenior played the inverted FB sh*t from Maresca, and it's happening and most are saying "it's fine, give the guy slack, he can't change everything with so little time to train tactics, etc". If Maresca had started with Delap as a winger and kept Cucurella as high as he was yesterday, many on here would be all over him. And this is not meant to be a defence of Maresca but more a reflection of how much resignation there is among fans.

saw Gusto inverting a couple of games ago, was all i needed to see from LR. Said it on here earlier today, he's a caretaker boss until a better name comes available after the World Cup. Nothing he's said or done so far is making me change my mind.

had the game on in the background last night, couldn't be bothered to watch it, laughed when we conceded and lost it. Ex chelsea player scores it... As for Havertz pointing to his badge, absolute dumpster of a player despite winning the biggest trophy of his career with us, hope he gets a career ending injury in the final, the c**t..

Its just not true though, is it. We're not seeing Gusto stood in the half space all game next to the number 10.

These are our RB heat maps under LR hugging the touchline mostly:

Wow, a lot of bitterness here. Is everything okay?

100% record in the CL and PL isn't enough...

People have written him off before he even joined because they don't like the owners.

No, Im watching Maresca V.2 in operation.

Then a former club hero we sold to direct rivals and improved, knocked us out of the cup - and I'm in the Merson camp. That was a shocking performance for a semi-final. To think people rounded on Poch for losing us one in a final... That performance was shameful even as background noise.

Any manager inverting fullbacks in 2025 needs to be sacked on the spot. It doesnt work. LR wont be here past the summer, he's a short term caretaker manager until someone better becomes available.

You best get back to looking through your daddy's data set on wingers and celebrating goal chances, you'll find the football more interesting.

It's really sad that people think its acceptable for any team to put in a performance like we did in a semi final. went out without a wimper, no fight in the players, worryingly, no desire or urgency to win it. that was our best shot at silverware this season, We'll be lucky to finish top 4 so the CL wont be an option next season, and the drop in revenues will mean we have to sell players in the summer to survive.

But thumbs up everyone, we havent hit an iceberg.

You need to actually watch our games rather than just having them on in the back ground.

Maybe you'll actually know what you're talking about then.

I would take a break from all the football for a bit. Focus on more positive things because I don't really think Chelsea are turning a corner any time soon. And definitely avoid social media and forums focussing on Chelsea, as that will only make you want to pull out your hair even more.

LR will be here until the end of the season at least and I doubt he'll be changing anything major between now and then.

Well aware, its just frustrating watchign the same turgidball being served up. He'll be here until the summer, so will this wretched brand of football. Just want to see the guy gun for it.

My worry is he is here beyond the summer but what decent manager would work under these conditions.

LR isn’t picking the team, data crunching medical team and directors are.

We are not a serious club until we get in a top manager with his own team and let them do their jobs.

Who do you suggest start the game ahead of Cucurellla? Garnacho?

Palmer and Estevao couldn’t start the game, and Cucurella is miles better than Garnacho, even as a winger.

Will do mate, try watching the game next time you want to talk about it so you don’t look daft 👍

Let’s all be honest about this the appointment of LR sucks.

Not a single CFC fan on earth said you know who should be our next manger LR.

Some have tried to brave face it with the let’s give him a chance bo**ocks but he is a puppet who was probably forced into a job he didn’t even want himself.

It’s an absolute piss take what is going on at our club. And the fans, players and LR himself all deserve better.

Sack the f**king board.

False, i said this in summer.

I liked what i saw at Derby and it was only a matter of time until he was our manager and it was obvious he was an upgrade on Maresca.
