I'd say Cech, no one really stood out for me.

cech was solid and did well enough to get the vote...for once i will give a cole a mention...he bombed forward well i thought

I really don't feel like voting - they worked hard and generally played some good football but nobody stood out, we hardly created any chances and there was just something missing (not just Mourinho)

Its hard to take anything from a game spoiled as a competitive event so early but maybe Cashley as he did go forward a bit more while still defending ok.

He was no man of the match but he was certainly one of the better ones, worst performance awards for me go to Makele, Essien, Malouda, and Mikel, although Mikel was very unlucky.

Mikel and Essien were poor today, some of Essiens passes were awful.

Yes. Of course he has to take some blame.

If he's often playing out wide or dropping deep in midfield, who are the likes of Cole, Essien, Malouda etc meant to find with forward passes? Especially when playing with a central, lone striker?

That's what I mean. The problem is that "the likes of Cole, Essien, Malouda etc" are not creating any forward passes.

Sheva ran around a lot but hell I could do that just as effectively. Zero saves for Van-Der-Sar pretty much sums up how ineffective the Chelsea forwards were.

Drogba is missed.
