Lofty Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 (edited) Take your pick. As someone once said. f**ked that right up, didn't I. -------------------------------- Looks OK to me ES -------------------------------- and me Mod (may be that people voted as it was edited) Edited November 9, 2008 by Mod
Phillip Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Something is wrong, Lofty. I do not see any choices.
Chippy Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 (edited) not much to choose from here mate ;) Edited November 9, 2008 by Chippy
Phillip Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 not much to choose from here mate ;) Anelka, I suppose (I did not see the game).
PloKoon13 Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Anelka was busy all game and even managed to score this time. Showed some good buildup play, and showed imagination in his passing and threaded balls. Now if he could just play like that against someone half decent...
Liam Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Cech for me. Two vital saves, good distribution, and safe handling on a really difficult day.
BlueBeard Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Petr Cech was brilliant today, but I had to give my vote to Anelka - that was his best game for Chelsea by far, and he actually looked fired up for the game. His two goals helped a bit too ;)
Benji Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Cech for me, Kept a clean sheet with some superb saves
Lofty Posted November 9, 2008 Author Posted November 9, 2008 Ok. After all that I voted Frank Lampard. I very nearly went for Anelka, who possibly gave his best display for us so far, and was very unlucky not to get another hat-trick. But then I thought Frank was outstanding, strong and passed well in difficult conditions, made the second goal and was unlucky not to grab a couple himself.
Chippy Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Anelka for me, Looked up for it from the off and never let his performance go down all game, much better than his day of dubious Hat trick and possibly his best in a Chelsea shirt. Deco was poor and lucky the manager had the good sense to Sub him with 45 seconds left before he dropped us in it :D mind you Paulo need a run out.
Bridgeboy Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Cech for me, made two vital saves that would going in so he saved the game and kept yet another clean sheet ! Although Blackburn are the legues worst scorers so I am not surprised but still a good show.
Mod Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Nico Nelks for me! 5 goals in the last 2 prem games, that's the goal ratio from a Striker (aside from Drogs) that we've longed for since the Jimbo days!
ethicalstrategy Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 I went for Cech, but I only saw the second half.
Lofty Posted November 9, 2008 Author Posted November 9, 2008 No it's still not right - 12 votes cast and only 3 showing.
ethicalstrategy Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 No it's still not right - 12 votes cast and only 3 showing. Not sure how that works! It said 9 votes the minute I added the poll options. Must be thinking that everyone who posted before I changed it had voted too. I'm sure Mod will sort it!

Now if he could just play like that against someone half decent... Thats a bit silly seeing as he is the Leagues top scorer. Anyway, he certainly gets my vote. Should easily be taking home the match ball for a second week running.

coco Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Over 90 minutes it was Lampard one word..... IMMENSE
Mod Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 It was more of a reference to the Roma game than anything else. Which could have been said about all the players on the pitch in that game then, other than maybe Alex.
dkw Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Over 90 minutes it was Lampardone word..... IMMENSE agree with that, i went with lamps too. he was everywhere in that 1st half and set anelka up with plenty of chances.
Virosh Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 I can't believe I am actually writing this, and I will deny it later, but my vote goes to Malouda. He was our drive in midfield and had some wonderful touches and passes. Due mention goes to Anelka and Cech, though

He was our drive in midfield and had some wonderful touches and passes.Due mention goes to Anelka and Cech, though i thought malouda was pretty poor again. his passing at times was woeful, lots of our attacks finished on him in the 1st half. he had several chances to put players in but managed to find a blackburn player nearly every time.
Gem Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Cech, JT, Lamps & Anelka stood out for me, Kalou was woeful. I went for Anelka, took his second goal well and it was nice to see him doing some running in a Chelsea shirt.
