  1. Think I'm a bit too eager to play.. constantly checking to see if it's my turn yet
  2. Forever a legend. Didn't expect much when it was announced he was returning but was in for a pleasant surprise as he scored a few goals.
  3. If only Varane, Veratti are two of the three.
  4. I'd take part but not completely sure on the rules
  5. Cos he's been a legendary figure at the club. If he wants to keep his family in London where they're settled and happy then he has every right to. Let's be serious there are other clubs in London but do you think a man like Cech wants to be playing for Crystal Palace or Fulham? He wants to be playing competitively and Arsenal are offering him that. He's by all means entitled to take that offer. Like Lampard still loves the club but wearing the colours of another team. Given the choice he wants to be playing every game not cameo appearances in cup competitions.
  6. Who do you bring in to replace Remy? He hasn't kicked up a fuss being a second striker well third striker as Drogba was preferred to him on quite a few occasions. Everytime he played he seemed to be in the right place at the right time and kept getting goals. That's all that was asked of him to keep scoring when he played, and he delivered. Why fix it if isn't broke? Selling him to take a punt on Falcao who hasn't seemed fit all season in the hope he finds the form of 4 seasons ago seems a huge risk. A risk not worth taking. Unless Falcao's arriving as third striker I don't want to hear anything about it.
  7. Think Matic, everyone knows the job he does and therefore it doesn't get highlighted as much as other players on the pitch during post match discussions.
  8. Well said, injuries affect different players in different ways. That is simply it.
  9. Will he stay in the game when he finally retires? “I’m not someone who says they will miss the dressing-room banter. That’s not really me. I have a varied life and could get by without football if that’s the way it pans out. I’ll always keep my season ticket at Chelsea though and if they want me back in any capacity…” He's a Chelsea legend regardless of if he played for City. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/frank-lampard-hard-work-is-the-key--unless-you-are-lionel-messithe-rest-of-us-have-to-graft-10290776.html
  10. When he was in form he was the best no.9 on the planet. His finishing was absolutely sublime regardless of left foot or right foot. Also for a guy who doesn't look the most strongest he was very physically able and one of the best at attacking a ball in the air. Scored so many headed goals. He looked a shadow of himself at United though, so if we were to buy/loan him Jose must be very confident that he can work him back to what he was.
  11. Wondering how some would feel about Gotze in place of Oscar. Some of the Bayern hierarchy (we all know how much they love to speak) have spoke put suggesting he isn't working out at the club as they imagined and that he's like a child on the pitch after losing duels etc to paraphrase. So considering they paid 32m I think we could get him for around that price. He is a more traditional no.10 in the creative sense that a lot of people are pining for. Also he is the same age as Oscar if I'm not mistaken. It was only a few seasons ago him, Hazard and Neymar were touted as being the future posterboys of football. Admittedly he hasn't been as good since his move to Bayern but when on song as we saw in his Dortmund days he is an amazingly creative player.
  12. 9m?? that really is having a giraffe. We paid 20 odd for him when he was playing in the brazilian league and now after 3 seasons of premier league football. Ermmm maybe it should be 29 or 39.
  13. A lot of these people in other countries are every bit a Chelsea fan as anyone here is but due to reasons whether financial or otherwise cannot see their team play at Stamford Bridge. So the only chance they get is through TV or when the squad travel there for these "meaningless friendlies". Meaningless to us but to these people it is perhaps the only chance they'll get to see the players they adore up close and personal. Would be an injustice to send the under 21's and no recognised names. Players knew the risk when they started out in the game, you can get hurt at anytime. You put your body on the line. Depending on luck that can be in training, in a cup final or having a kickaround in your back garden.
  14. If he doesn't pursue a career in coaching then he always has the option of becoming a politician in his home country. His influence there really is that great.
  15. His father was quite the player apparently
  16. The champions league won't compare to the one of 2012 but regardless I would like to win the league and the champions league. Why can't we have both?
  17. What a man. Still has years left at the very top level. Think he should go Madrid personally would be automatic first choice without a doubt.
  18. Respect to City they gave him a good send off.. but obviously nothing compared to the one he should have got at The Bridge today.
  19. Aah that's a shame, but assuming we get a certain amount of medals they could potentially be given one at the club's discretion.
  20. Will the youth players such as Ake or Christensen be getting medals because if I remember correctly they have been in the matchday squad quite a few times but haven't really played many minutes?
  21. Don't think he'll be sold. It's been stated many times that the team is built around him. Jose himself said (I know he says alot of things) that he hopes he can really push on in his third season. We've heard all the excuses no rest etc. So this pre season will be his first proper pre season for a long time so let's see what he can do this coming season. It really does feel like this is a make or break season for him.
  22. The boy has so much potential, that's all he is a boy. He's still finding his feet in football I remember some of our preseason games a couple seasons ago and he seemed to fit right in. Some very nice finishing. If Jose didn't see anything he wouldn't have kept him in the preseason squad and got him signed up as soon as he turned 18. So for him to be sold after a season or so on loan at Vitesse is like giving up on the boy. He has a lot to prove and I hope he does so.
  23. I think he plays best as a second striker so in theory he could play alongside Costa if needed.
