Neymar
I absolutely hate these 3rd party ownerships! And to add to that, Wagner Ribeiro would not really be the agent of my dreams if I were a footballer, Robinho's career been the best example. If we really want this guy, we need to get him this season. He's constantly improving and so is his price tag along with the number of clubs monitoring him. We can lose him to Real or Barca if a deal isn't sealed soon enough.

Big shout for Brendan
That's a lot of money! :o So even though Blackpool were richer by 90 million pounds last season, they couldn't survive in the Premier League for a year. That says a lot. Money isn't the only ingredient to be successful in football!

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
Screw him.

Arry is now odds on
Exactly, Redknapp has never had the sources to attract A level players! They still got van der Vaart for a real bargain. And I think Pavlyuchenko is very underrated at the spuds. However, Hiddink is and will remain a better choice any time of the day.

Fabio Borini
He won them a penalty which Sinclair converted to finish off his hattrick. Good day for the lads!

Big shout for Brendan
Sinclair had a ball at Wembley today. He can be what Charlie Adams was to Blackpool this season, when Swansea return to the top flight. Really happy for him. I always saw him as a long-term replacement for Malouda. That never really materialised. Let's just hope he doesn't end up with one of our rivals after impressing in the Premier League. But I'm sure Brendan Rogers won't let that happen. Congratulations to Swansea for the promotion. How much money has the Play Off win earned them?

What changes would you like for next year? (merged)
I don't think we'll be signing Neymar for the role of a striker. He's the type of player who could be our solution to the lack of width and creativity. However, we still need some creativity down the middle since Lampard is most probably past his best. He is at max, good enough to be a rotation player or super sub. He has to accept that he's no longer a sure-shot starter. However, I have a doubt, is Ramires capable of taking over Lampard's duty or a new man is required? Mceachran can be groomed for the future, but he is still very raw. Essien, I think, had an off season, and it doesn't mean we sell him. He might as well be back to his best next season. Or has the time come to let go of either him or Mikel? The latter has not done enough to probe himself. However, as far as I remember, Mikel played very well under Hiffink, so if he was to return, things can be different. In the defence, needless to say, Fereira has to go. He should have been gone last summer if it were upto me (with Belletti retained). Mancienne can be used in the squad the way Belletti was unless he wishes to leave. I wouldn't change the defence much but would want the likes of Bruma, van Aanholt to feature more often. Finally, coming to the attack. Drogba should stay put purely on the basis of his experience and goal scoring record. While Sturridge should take up the Anelka role. And yet, one more striker needs to be signed. Falcao or Aguero would be good acquisitions. Kalou should move on, he knows it and the club knows it. Malouda and Benayoun could provide guidance to a new generation of wide players - Kakuta, Neymar etc. While Zhirkov, should get one last season to establish himself. Needless to say, busy summer ahead! Let's hope the people running the club have something in mind!

POLL: Who should be our next manager?
Da Costa has revealed that Villas Boas has a €15 million release clause in his contract. However, he remains confident that he will remain at the club. Roman may be trying to trigger that release clause. And also, we could go for one of Hulk or Falcao. Class acts, both of them. Hulk has recently signed a new contract while Falcao still has 2 years left on his current deal. Slightly off topic, but yeah.

POLL: Who should be our next manager?
I believe a Steve Clarke and Villas Boas pairing can do wonders at the club. I still can't believe that Clarkey ended up at Anfield. I'd really want him to return where he really belongs. Our defence was rock solid when he was around.

POLL: Who should be our next manager?
Why so, Bobby?

Greetings from Dorset
Cheers lad, welcome! What a day indeed! And Moi, yes! Even I was expecting an article from Dorset! :P

POLL: Who should be our next manager?
Why the heck would we look elsewhere if Martin O'Neil is available! He is cut out for a club like ours I feel.

He's gone
Was it Ancelotti who promised to deliver 2 Champions League trophies before his present contract expired. Or am I confusing it with something that Gourlay had stated?
-
He's gone
FFS! This is pathetic. Thanks a Lotti Carlo!

Manchester United v Chelsea (PL) 08/05/11 KO 16:10 BST
Hi fellas. I'm posting after a long long time. It wasn't a good start to say the least. Buck up Chels!

Chelsea vs Stoke MOTM
Mikel, Terry and Alex were the pick of the players for me. I've voted for Mikel. Looked very composed, and made up for Lampard's mistakes, which could have cost us the game (by that I'm mainly referring to the careless passing, the missed penalty is a seperate issue). EDIT : Ashley deserves a mention. He adds an extra dimension to our attack. Can't be overlooked.

Juliano - Thanks for the Memories
One of the most versatile players we've seen in recent times. I've always seen Mancienne as his natural replacement. Now that he's on a season-long loan to Wolves again, I'm not sure who's going to be playing the Belletti role.

Link to Ramires
At 4 AM in the night, I get a text on my phone from stamfordthelion (twitter) saying, "Chelsea have a new full international", followed by a link. So, the first thought that came to my mind was, "YES! Ramires has arrived". Then, I get out of my bed to open the official website to make sure it's him alright. And. BAM! "Dutch Debut For Bruma". :(
-
Benzema and Coentrao IN , Ashley OUT ?!
If any of this is true, what does it mean for Zhirkov?!
-
Link to Ramires
Okay, I don't want to sound foolish when I ask this, but, where does he fit in? Is he a replacement for Ballack? Is he been brought in because Essien has become too injury prone? Are we going to buy him for 17-18 million pounds and then sell him to Real for 45 million, and then, sit back and laugh? :P Okay, honestly speaking, I want to know what exactly his playing style is? Is the signing of Yossi and his a signal that we are bringing back the diamond this season?

Slobodan Rajkovic
We've got TOO many left-backs on us then? After Cole and Zhirkov in the pecking order. We have him, van Aanholt and Bertrand!
-
Ashley Cole to La Liga?
Even in this air of uncertainty, the presence of Zhirkov in our squad gives me some relief and assurance! Maybe van Aanholt as the back up? Bertrand is there too! But, I DO NOT, DO NOT, want Ashley to leave!
-
new away kit?
Quite a relief if this is our away shirt for next season : Source EDIT : By relief, I mean it's much much better than that Black and Cyan design with horizontal checks all over! EDIT2 : Or maybe that's what our goalkeeper shall put on?
-
Luis Suarez
Did anyone think he was play-acting a little too much yeterday? I've always liked him as a player, he's quite versatile. But I wouldn't want him at the club if he's not got the right attitude.
-
Benayoun?
Oh god. I'd be absolutely gutted if it's true.
